2025 Tucson Review

Physically, the car is fine. The electronics are overengineered and intrusive to the driver, especially the "feature" which provides automatic braking. This system came very close to causing a collision in the recent past. I was in traffic, and the car in front of me started to decelerate. I matched the rate of deceleration, but the system overrode my input, and braked automatically, which very nearly caused the vehicle behind me to hit us from behind. The Cruise control "feature" which slows the vehicle to match the speed of the vehicle in front of us makes the system unusable. The lane keeping assist is the first thig I disable, if I do decide to use Cruise Control (only on an empty road). Just because you "can" build a feature into a car, doesn't mean you "should". I recently tried to take the car to run a couple of errands, but the car would not move. The engine started and ran, but the system would not shift to drive or reverse. I called a tow truck and they took the car to Autonation Hyundai for service. The repair was the installation of two software updates. One of these updates had been issued by Hyundai 5 days after we bought the car. we were never notified that there were pending updates, even when we took the car to a dealership for it's first oil change (5000 miles). This is unacceptable. If Hyundai needs to install software to ensure the vehicle can operate, it's on Hyundai to notify every owner with an affected vehicle of the requirement! If the owner is notified and fails to respond, then that's on the owner. If Hyundai performs service on a vehicle, the owner should be assured that all pending service requirements have been complied with (hardware and software).

All that I need; almost everything I could wish for.

I replaced a car that I had had for five years, what I thought was the last car I would ever own. But, then, my wife suggested that it might be time for a new car. My nephew had a new Tucson and he recommended it highly. So, I bought largely on his recommendation. It has everything my previous car had, except that the hatch does not have an option to lock when closing, but with the addition of heated rear seats. I'm a tall person and the Tucson has a lower entry height than I would like. Instead of getting in like one normally would, I find it easiest to climb in head first and then twist in my lower body. Except for big pick-ups, which I can't justify for my use, almost all vehicles have gone for the lower entry height, so I've learned to live with it.

It's a beautiful vehicle. My front seats were turning tan within the first few weeks I owned the suv. I was told this was from jeans. I don't wear jeans. Also, this is my 2nd tucson. The prior one had the game interior. I never had this problem. Hyundai did replace the drivers front seat. Thank you! However, I'm concerned about the other seats. Hopefully, they'll be okay

Overall, I like the vehicle. It drives well in the snow, which has been important this year. The sensors thou do get plugged up by ice in the front, the heating system takes a lone time to warm up. The dashboard act up periodically with flashing lights and symbols, that then turn off.

Almost perfect

This car is nearly perfect. If it had a spare tire and power folding mirrors it would be amazing. Massage chair wouldn’t be bad either lol I vinyl the chrome strip on the sides and sprayed the rims black, would’ve been nice to have a factory option for this.

Nice car.

Nice car, love the hybrid feature and “automatic” park/brake feature when turning off the engine. Don’t like the headroom…need a bit more and the too weird shifter. Otherwise, nice car.

Love!!

I’m in love with this car. (And that’s coming from a person that doesn’t really care what she drives!) It handles beautifully. The ride is very comfy. Love the heated seats and the steering wheel. Plenty of cargo space for camping and hiking. The hybrid part is perfect for me. (Glad that I didn’t go full electric.) I always feel that I pay too much but it is what it is.

I can drive thru the park and engine is not even running!

10 I of course enjoy the gas mileage is has been outstanding sometimes around 40 on a longer Trip. And yet if I need to pass someone it also has the Turbo kick it and it really moves quickly. I have made several trips and didn’t have put in any gas. I am very pleased with the Tucson Hybrid it what I thought it would be. Easy on gas and power when I need it.

my new car

disappointed that not purchased limited, but increase in cost prohibative. if had limited probably wouldnt still be wishing could afford my dream car...lexus nx hybrid. i think the limited would make me feel like i wasnt missing anything....the sel conveience def does not. hate the front styling....re: the lights. hope new model changes this....ugly, n almost didnt purchase because of this look.
