Not as advertised!!!!

Very disappointed in the hybrid economy of this vehicle. Not as advertised at all! Cold weather absolutely destroys the fuel economy of this vehicle. Literally cuts it more than in half.

I love my Tucson

Have had my vehicle for 18 months and haven't had any problems with it. Plus I am averaging about 40 mpg.

Review

The vehicle has an embarrassing reverse horn taken probably from a delivery truck. It’s regular horn sounds like a suffocating duck. Even kids on my street laugh when they hear. Great choices!

Safe & comfortable ride

I need to make a 6 hour drive in order tovisit my aging brother. The route takes me over the Bay Bridge through the Annapolis area. The traffic can be very heavy. My Hyundai makes the journey feel safe, especially when in cruise control. The cruise control setting keeps me a safe distance from other vehicles, brakes automatically, and keeps me at my designated speed. I have an automatic copiolet. The ability to set the driver's seat to the settings for both my husband and myself, makes both of us comfortable. Now that the weather has taken a cooler turn, the climate start on the MyHyundai app, the heated steering wheel and seats are a blessing. I also need to mention the gas savings we are taking advantage of with our hybrid. I am truly enjoying all these features and more. Love my Tucson Hybrid.

❤️ the vehicle…not great gas mileage

Great safety features! I expected better gas mileage……around 35 MPG…..good, ut not as advertised.

Great vehicle!

I have never owned a Hyundai before and am regretting that lapse in judgement! This is one nice vehicle! Very comfortable, great gas mileage (its a gas hybrid), and holds my golf bag easily!

Great vehicle, with a few caveats

I'm really enjoying my experience with this Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Blue. I love the roominess and ample cargo storage space. The exterior looks great, especially in the Amazon gray/green paint. More importantly, the driving experience has been really nice, for the must part. There are a few issues I have with the vehicle that keep it from being a 5-star rating though. First, during the first few weeks, the stitching/seam on the driver side seat was noticeably raised watch caused subs discomfort. I've since gotten used to it, but the issue is actually still there. Second, the transmission switching from electric to gas (or maybe just from the lowest gear to the next) is still quite clunky. Finally, the back up camera is not very well protected from rain. So the camera is pretty much rendered useless in the rain, and even if you're trying to back into a space after it's rained. The view is totally obscure by water droplets.

Reliable yes

1. Car is reliable and feels good to drive. There is much to like. 2. It stalls during fast acceleration from a dead stop for 2 to 3 seconds. Dealer service says it is normal. Scares me! Power isn't there when you need it. 3. Car must be locked with key FOB as the indent for thumb on door handle does not always work. Plus you cannot lock it on exit by pressing an interior button. Very annoying. 4. Gas mileage average is 26, nowhere near advertised 37/36. I am retired and do not drive it like a race car. I am wondering how they came up with those numbers that are not achievable. 5. I get weekly notices/alerts that maintenance is required. I go to the dealer or call and they tell me I do not need maintenance (which is what I thought). But it persists. To make matters worse, the maintenance schedule is confusing. I am contemplating trading this car due to the reasons stated above. I find those last 4 items very annoying, and stalling issue dangerous. I would not have purchased it had I known about these issues.

2024 Tucson review

Great vehicle. Transmission seems to vibrate in certain spots. Car dealer said it is normal near the shifting point, but I have never had this in any other vehicle I have owned. Will see if it hold up over time.

What I would change

All and all it is a very nice vehicle. I wish you kept the steering wheel controls the same across the vehicles, I own 2 and have a 3rd I drive from time to time all with the same steering wheel controls just in different locations. And my biggest complaint is that I have 2 hybrids and if they are parked for more than 5 days the battery is dead and I have to use the key to get in and use the jump button, my 3rd non hybrid can sit there for weeks with no issues.

Great hybrid

Great car! Love the gas mileage it provides and ease of comfort. Only downside is not having wireless car play, or the ability to speak back for text messages.
