Fantastic car

I was not initially interested in the Tucson. However, after test driving it, I fell in love with it. The design, is the interior and the way it drives have made this now one of my favorite cars I’ve ever owned. The deep sea blue color adds some uniqueness to the look that I am really enjoying it. Several friends, who have been a passenger in the car are now considering purchasing one. The hybrid option was very important to me, and so far has proved quite valuable.

Hyundai Tucson hybrid limited 2023

We have enjoyed this new car it has been great and has met or beat all expectations. It handled better than our old car on bad icy roads which was impressive. The quieter ride is such a nice addition to our experience we our very happy with this model.

Everything you need and more

Got my second Tucson - this time hybrid Love the car and the refreshed design and it’s new features All the comfort and luxury you need at reasonable price. I did my research prior to buying and I knew exactly which trim and color options I want so the purchase was a no brainer at the dealership it boiled down to who has my vehicle available when I wanted it

Great design and performance

My first Hyundai and it did not disappoint. Switch from Toyota has been a pleasant surprise. Really happy with it. Only bummer is a loud whistling noise with the addition of the crossbars. Should’ve considered other brands not factory.

Looks nice, rides nice

Attracted by the styling. Impressed with all the features. Rides and drives comfortably. Really quiet. Nice hybrid package. Decent acceleration. Average full economy for a hybrid. Overall, only 900 miles driven. But definitely a nice vehicle deserving of your consideration.

Will was awesome.

Will made sure our needs were taking care at all times. If I have to be honest I feel like the guy who took care of the paperwork was not organized and I felt like we were being rushed. But overall Will was the best.

So far so good

We like the features included with the base hybrid "blue" pkg. We also like the performance. We live on gravel and this car does have a few issues there, like hard to clean wheels, a lift gate button that is in a dirty hole, and probably going to need mud flaps since the door handles seem to be messier than other cars.

Exceeds Expectations

I looked for a car and had a few in mind, but ended up purchasing the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid SEL. The features are great, BlueLink is a top notch service, the dealership personnel were great and the car drives like a dream.

Great Car

It was an easy experience; all the staff were friendly. They were very accommodating when I needed to go home to retrieve my documents for my old car and come back with another driver. I was happy that they had three Hybrids on the lot that day.

My third Tucson, they keep getting better!

The hybrid powertrain is excellent. Gear shifts are very quick and smooth. The combined 226 HP from the motor and the ICE will get you off the line and into traffic very quickly! Starting with MY 2022, the Tucson got a little longer. If you've looked at the Tucson in the past, but thought the back seats a little too cramped, make sure to take another look. The increased space is most noticeable in the back seats. Interior styling and function is easy, although the idea of just pushing a button to turn the car on without the sound of an engine starting will take some getting used to (this is my first hybrid). Some reviewers dislike the touchscreen center climate/infotainment system. I don't have any problem with it. Hyundai bough back some physical controls for 2023. The matte finish of the center console screen doesn't cause glare. And unless your fingers are covered with French-Fry grease, I haven't found fingerprints or screen smudges to be an issue. When they do occur, it's easy to clean. The car is fun and comfortable to drive. Legroom and headroom is excellent, both front and rear. I've been averaging about 35-37 MPG in the winter, but I do a lot of long non-stop highway driving. If you're doing anything that resembles mixed suburban driving, you will make 38 MPG. With some good use of regenerative breaking, I've been able to crack 41 MPG.

Great Car

Really enjoy driving this car. When the car switches to battery or gas it is imperceptible. In other words extremely smooth. I would like the gas tank and the battery to be bigger, but it still garners 425-450 miles on a tank of gas. Interior is very comfortable and controls are easy to learn. I was surprised at the acceleration in smart mode which uses battery and gas when you need to pass. More then adequate. Overall a nice ride.

Great vehicle but mileage is so disappointing

The vehicle was great externally, and on the test drive. However, once I took it home, I proceeded to notice that the mileage I was receiving in my hybrid was much lower than promised. Upon doing more research, there were accounts of others, receiving the same problem, which improved after the first couple of thousand miles. I waited until 3000 miles and continued to receive the exact same mileage I received when I first took the vehicle home. After calling my dealership, I brought my car in and they told me that there was nothing wrong with it and there was nothing they could do. I am currently receiving between 25 and 27 mpg on highway driving and between 28 and 30 mpg in city on a promise of an average of 36/37 City/Highway. I am very disappointed at this sense I have a friend who currently has a non-hybrid Kona that she can get up to 40 miles per gallon when driving conservatively. I drive very conservatively never going above speed limits and not using the Excelerator often and also continue to drive my hybrid and eco-mode and I am getting nowhere near that. I am fueling up constantly, and it is defeating the entire purpose of me purchasing a hybrid. So disappointing.

1 month driving the 2023 Hyundai Tucson hybrid

After driving my Hyundai Tucson Hybrid for one month, I love my new car! I’m very pleased with the purchase I made and the value I got such a high quality car for. Upgrading from a 2006 vehicle to a 2023 vehicle has significantly changed my quality of life, as we spend much of our lives behind the wheel. I really enjoy my driving experiences and can’t wait to see what adventures we go on!

Purchased a Tucson Hybris new

The Tucson was researched along with about six contenders. The consumer reports of a 93 percent and a fuel economy of 36/37 made this vehicle a winner. The Amazon gray color was a number one choice for my wife and I. But the fuel economy was extremely disappointing. It was stated that we should see 36/37 MPG. Reality is only 25-28MPG.

Great car, but difficult to achieve estimated MPG.

I love the styling of the car and features; however, achieving the estimated MPG is very difficult in less than ideal conditions. I am averaging only 33 MPG rather than the estimated 37 MPG. i can exceed 37 MPG when primarily using the electric motor; however when needing to use the gas engine, mileage drops significantly.

Enjoying my new Tucson

Love the way it handles and drives. Model looks fantastic too. Some of the little things about the vehicle are a bit disappointed since it is the Limited version. Just expected them to look and work better.

The vehicle comfort and ride are great - MPG not so much

Upon purchasing the vehicle, we immediately put 1500 highway miles on it - the most forgiving type of driving for evaluating MPG. We were getting 6-7 MPG less than advertised. When we then settled in to drive the car normally for work, that dropped to 8-9 MPG less. This is a significant difference from the advertisements. We drive on ECO, we accelerate slowly, we use the car computers whenever possible. There are times when the car has an almost full battery and still runs the gasoline engine for no discernible reason, and there are no controls to specificy modify this decision. We got a hybrid for the gas mileage, and then got a Hyundai for the warranty to help cover the requisite batteries. We would have more seriously entertained other brand' non-hybrid offerings s if we had realized how far off the MPG was from advertised, which would have precluded the need for a battery and subsequently negated the need for a Hyiundai warranty. Contacting the dealership and was given the "well, everyone drives differently" schtick.

get a lot for money spent

overall a good car, so far, except for the complete inability of a closely following vehicle to see rear turn signals which are located in rear bumper facia, down too low to be readily visible. Also car has no spare tire donut to be used if a tire blows out. Tire mobility kit is a cruel joke
