This has been a great car so far. It handles really well and runs great(love the power and performance of the turbo-charged engine)! The interior is quite comfortable and driver friendly. The dash and screen are easy to read and have way more information and detail than my previous vehicles. Trunk space is great. This car is great for traveling and its appearance is sporty and good looking.

The car rides like a dream. It handles easily. It is so quiet you can hardly hear it running. It is perfect for me.

The doors open Much too wide. You need a 6 ft arm to close them.

Very disappointed withthe 2026 Sonata. I have always had Sonatas -the last one was a2019 which I loved. But the design of the 2026 is not comforatble. The roof is low like the Elantra and we bump our heads when we enter the car. The doors open to a 90 degree angle making it extremely hard to reach out to grab the door to close it. I looked for some kind of a door latch the decrease the width of the door openeing but cannot find anything.

Amazing to drive

Amazing car to drive, could come with a few extra features seem a little basic. too much to choose for from. I love the all wheel drive, but wish it had some features like the limited. The one issue that bothers me as the passenger wiper puts all the debris directly in the view of the drivers side and I’m constantly looking through a dirty window. I do not like to set up of the wipers and it should always be clear on the driver side for no distractions. It constantly has the dirty line left from the wipers in your view. No matter how many times I spray the washing fluid the line is always there. The air/heat also changes the blow setting on its own. I may have it set for the vents but will be coming out on the floor also and I redo the setting again. Not sure why I would have to keep resetting that. The emblem should be on the front and not the hood.

Noise

When driving on the freeway; you can hear everything while driving down the road. I dont know if its the tires or they didnt build the inside for sound proofing.

A Safe, Comfortable Vehicle

We’ve owned two Hyundai Sonata before this one. The first, we traded for the second one because was newer. The second was totaled by a motorcycle trike which would have hit us head-on if my husband, who was driving, hadn’t swerved so that the trike destroyed the driver’s side of the car. Air bags went off and we both came out of it without a scratch. That’s a big reason we chose to buy a new Sonata—SAFETY features. It is a nice-looking car and it has a big trunk space for road trips; Comfortable enough to drive and ride in all day to out-of-state destinations. It’s also has great gas mileage.

Great little car!

We love our Sonata! It’s sporty, sharp looking, and drives great! I love the features. The only issue so far is that it’s not as comfortable for long trips. We drove it to our vacation, about 9 hours each way. I use a seat cushion, which helps, but my husband, who is a bigger guy, said it hurt his hips. Not sure if it’s our age or the seat. I still love it though.
