My Thoughts.

Overall, I like my Hyundai Santa Fe and it’s been a comfortable SUV, but there are a few things I wish were designed better. I really dislike the auto stop feature, as it can feel annoying and inconsistent in traffic. The opening to the under-center storage is also very small and awkward to access while driving. Another downside is the way the air vents blow — it’s hard to get the airflow positioned comfortably without it hitting directly in an uncomfortable spot.

Great Choice, A Few Challenges

Really like the 2025 Santa Fe Limited. A few very disturbing "features". The Forward Attention Warning (FAW) is both annoying and dangerous. Difficult to shut down once it deploys. Terrible piece of technology. Second, there is no need for the starter-destroying Auto Stop. Just get rid of it. Seats could be more comfortable.

Sante fe bears volvo

I traded in a Volvo XC 90 for a Santa Fe calligraphy edition. The Santa Fe puts the Volvo to shame. It is a more comfortable ride more interior options more comfortable seating. I have leased the Santa Fe and when the lease is finished, I plan to buy one. They are fantastic.

Hated the DCT transmission! Never would’ve bought it if I had known.

No one informed us of the DCT transmission when we bought this vehicle. It was very difficult to drive and somewhat dangerous as it lunged forward when parking and jerked badly when in reverse backing out of driveway.

I like the car but…

I’ve had several issues that are troublesome. The safety features are no longer safety features. I have had to turn several of them off in hopes that the car won’t brake automatically when it thinks there is an issue. I have had the car tell bit me and my husband that we need to keep our eyes on the road. We are. Yet the warning will go off several times in a row. My husband even had the car brake suddenly on the highway. It was scary. I also have had repeated issues with the sound system failing and needing to be reset. And I mean no sound, no radio, no car sounds, no touchscreen sounds, nothing. The only way we’ve found to reset it is to disconnect the battery for a few minutes. We’ve tried other fixes but they don’t work. This should never be happening. The car is 1 yr old. The first time it happened when the car was 6 months old we thought it was a fluke. Well now 6 months later, it has happened several more times. I’m frustrated to say the least. Neither of these issues should be happening. I will probably not be keeping this car as long as I had thought. If I take the car in to be looked at, I will only be told nothing is wrong since they won’t be able to recreate the issues. I had a problem with the front collision warning going off repeatedly last fall, thank god I had taken video when it kept happening. The dealership tried to tell me nothing was wrong if they couldn’t recreate it. I showed them the video. They ended up taking apart the dash and said a cable had become loose. That never should’ve happened either.

You’re driving a computer not a car

Overall, nice vehicle; however, two big issues. Passive entry drains the vehicle battery, which leads to needing an emergency physical key (not the key fob), which the dealership never provided. Essentially, my new vehicle died, and I could not enter it for a few days. The roadside assistance could not resolve my issue right away. Every dealership within the 50-mile radius was not able to cut a key. The dealership I purchased the vehicle from did not provide a key, but that is all on Hyundai for not having it inside the fob like every vehicle manufacturer. The engine design is weird, the vehicle is not smooth on stop & go due to how the engine kicks in. Also the aerodynamics to be able to take turns or bumps should have been optimized. It is weird, it is a smooth vehicle but a very rough experience.

Love it but give us 2025 owners the same love in the Bluelink shop

Love this car. It’s comfy, stylish and makes me and my family feel so safe. My only gripe is that you can’t use the WiFi while using CarPlay which is crazy because other vehicles you can. It’s really a pain when I want to turn on the WiFi hotspot for other devices but lose my ability for CarPlay

I have had a few issues with my vehicle and this was one I purchased because the 2024 had quite a few problems. Please keep in mind I’m retired and don’t drive it but a couple of days a week.

Santa Fe Problem issues

Recurring Computer problems results in my having to call towing company every 3-4 months to return the car to dealer. Dealer Service checks out the vehicle and doesn't identify any problems. I have had this vehicle for 1 year and it's been in the shop every 3-4 months with same issue.
