The 2025 Santa Fe Hybrid is an excellent vehicle choice

I appreciate how the vehicle shifts between engine and electric with no noticeable sounds or hesitation. I have yet to achieve the EPA listed mileage but it is very close and hasn’t had its first oil change yet. I wanted to have a vehicle the seated a minimum of six passengers which this does. My only concern is the lack of cargo space when all six passengers are seated. I also think a spare tire should have been offered with the Hybrid option, even if it was an upgrade option. No vehicle is perfect, but this one is really a great choice for our family.

Roomy, comfortable, not as efficient as hoped

The Santa Fe Hybrid Limited HTRAC is a very nice SUV. We drove it to MT right after buying and looped around through WA then back down to CA and averaged 29 mpg at an average speed of 70-75. It wasnt bad in the snow at Leavenworth, WA but not terrific this was probably due to the all season tires, winter tires would have helped considerably It was comfortable for the long ride, handled well and the limited edition provided nice to have options. All in all for the price of 50K we are reasonably happy. This is our second Hyundai as I drive the Elantra Hybrid as my commuter car. The lack of a spare and a missing tire inflator caused us issues with a flat in Salt Lake City.

It’s one of the best cars I have ever owned

This vehicle is awesome very high tech but easy to learn almost does it on its own the vehicle status, mileage, condition is right at your fingertips and the ride is like a floating boat! The interior is off the chart gorgeous

The Money Spent For Size Of Car Is Grear

The engine is underpowered and feels sluggish, especially during acceleration. Constant jolting and rough shifting make every ride uncomfortable. The transmission feels clunky and unpredictable. The turbo lag is unbearable — delayed response when you need power most. Cabin noise is ridiculous at highway speeds — zero sound insulation. Build quality feels cheap for the price point. Infotainment glitches regularly and the touchscreen lags. Ride comfort is stiff — you feel every bump and pothole. Steering feels numb and disconnected from the road. Annoying electronic driver assists beep constantly and overcorrect. Gas mileage is nowhere near what’s advertised. HVAC system is weak — takes forever to cool or heat the cabin. Visibility is poor — awkward blind spots make lane changes a gamble. Interior materials look nice at first, but scratch and wear quickly. Dealer service has been unhelpful and dismissive about recurring issues. Recalls and software updates already? It’s barely even broken in. Suspension feels like it was tuned by someone who hates people. It's overpriced for what little value you actually get. It's already been in the shop more than my last car in 5 years. Feels more like a beta version than a finished product.

Both dealer and manufacturer refuse responsibility for paint flaw

We noticed bubbles in the paint job a few days after receiving delivery late on a dark winter’s day. Sales rep says refused to talk about it later, implying it was our fault not to see it before we took delivery. The dealer’s setvice manager later viewed the problem and said he’d get back to us. He never did. Nobody associated with Hyundai will take responsibility for the flaw.

So far I am satisfied with this vehicle

The Santa Fe is comfortable to drive and a smooth ride. The hybrid gas mileage is not quite as good as Hyundai claims. There is plenty of room in the vehicle and the 7 passenger setting is a really big plus. The quality of the interior is excellent. The panoramic display is really pleasing and is not in your face like other vehicles. All and all I really like this car.

Discovered rear seat heater was faulty, 63 days after purchase.

88 days since faulty rear seat heater was discovered. 5 service calls and parts either wrong or have failed. Vehicle has been in the service department for 17 days (as of 4/19/2025). Poor communication from service department as to status of repair to the Santa Fe.

Great features

We had to have a hybrid and it had to be an SUV for personal reasons. The Hyundai Santa Fe fit the bill perfectly. The 2025 is very stylish, almost futuristic. It has many safety features. MPG is ok. Simply put, it's a fun car to drive and own.

Should be car of the Year!

I previously owned a 2016 Honda Pilot Elite which I enjoyed very much, but my Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy exceeds the Pilot except in interior room and 3rd row seating comfort. The Santa Fe's systems are intuitive, especially the Apple Play maps and navigation. Remote folding mirrors, hold position, and other features, especially the superior engine / drive train warranty, makes the 2025 Santa Fe Calligraphy this year's best vehicle.

Disappointed

Had the car for a month and then the transmission control system threw an error. The dealership said the engine wiring harness is shorting out. It's been over a month since it was towed to the dealership and still no eta.

We like the feel and look of our car.

The vehicle drives very well and looks very stylish. It also seems to be getting the mileage that was represented at the time of sale. We have also been very happy with service at the dealership. They were very accommodating.

I love my 2025 Santa Fe

I had a 2019 Santa Fe and trade for the new body style in 2025. I love the design and the interior. It is an awesome car. Only issue I have is with the transmission. I’m guessing the dual clutch system does not low throttle because it feels like it slams in to gear when going in reverse or forward then I just want to creep. It’s like all or nothing there is no easing into my garage

Drive train noise

There is a loud noise coming from the hybrid drive train. The dealership says all the hybrids are making this noise and expects a TSB to come out for it. This nois is very concerning. The noise is very loud.

Great SUV for families. Hybrid was a huge selling point and 7 seater

I love the new version since 2024 model came out. I wish it still came with the garage opener buttons on the rear view mirror like my 2014 Elantra. That felt like the only major downgrade of getting a newer vehicle. I also wish the back row had 3 seats instead of 2, as even the calligraphy model with captain chairs didn’t include an extra seat in the back row and would only fit 6. I wanted to upgrade to that model but that stopped me.

After 5000 miles the transmission failed

I love this Santa Fe EXCEPT failed transmission, third row seats (don’t need them. Miss my storage) lack of cup holders, cell phone charger is a fail (just give me more cup holders). On the positive side I appreciate the heads up display with many other safety features; back up camera, rear view camera, and crash alert. It’s a great looking vehicle. Love the new H designs.

Great Features, but Has Issues

Purchased the car new and am having issues with the rear passenger tail light. I have taken it in twice and it's still not fixed. The windshield washer fluid doesn't spray properly on the windshield to clean it, especially while driving. The boxy design also catches the wind on the highway, which tends to push the car around substantially. It's a nice car, nice interior, great features, but the issue with the tail light has been extremely frustrating.

Nice overall ride

Nice ride overall, easy to drive with comforts that are expected to be in a mid priced mid sized suv. There are basics on entry level that should be standard at this point in car care and travel. The safety features are good.

It's Hyun-dai in the sun!

This is by far the best car I've owned. I've had my last car for 20 years and I am amazed by all the modern features inside and out! I am still comparing other cars and Hyundai's Santa Fe still looks the best. I am looking forward to what the new Palisade and Ioniq 9 will offer when it hits the states!
