So far so good

I purchased my Santa Fe - Calligraphy only two months ago, trading in my 2020 Santa Fe which proved very reliable leading to my expectation for the the 20225. We also own a 2023 Santa Fe Calligraphy which has been excellent and a good comparison. Of course its a bit early to discuss long term performance at only 2 months of ownership. So all ratings are for first 2 months only. One thing i can comment now is while I like the newer styling I really do not need a three row SUV. So far there has been a recall and a computer sensor failure that affected the rear driver assist warning system that was replaced quickly under the warranty.

Interesting but some areas of concern

Some of the main problems deal with electronics. When trying to make a call or text via voice method, the system will not allow this to be done most of the time. Some of the time, it will though. After a rainy day, some of the electronics will not work like they usually do. They do work when it is not raining. When approaching the driver's door & trying to unlock the door with the door handle sensor, most of the time, it does not work & it varies as to where your hand is on the door handle, relative to the sensor. Sometimes, it does not work at all. Sometimes, it works too well to the point to where it will unlock & very quickly lock & go back & forth (of course we have the FOB in our pants pocket). When we have the FOB in our pants pocket & walk behind the tail end of the vehicle, the hatch is supposed to auto raise but when you want it to, it will not raise. However, when you do not want it to raise, it raises & you may have just walked away from it to go into a store & when you come back, the hatch may be open. Other things are going wrong as well.

Front Passenger Seet Adjustment

I LOVE my car. However, if I had one gripe it would be that the front passenger seat is not electronically adjustable. If the car comes with electronic adjustable front driver seat, the passenger seat should be the same! How much more would it cost to make that seat electronically adjustable?

Great All Around Vehicle For The Price

Great vehicle. You get a lot for the price. Tons of safety features and luxury features. Nice power and internal space. Love the styling because it's different form other vehicles you see out on the road. Interior styling is very nice for a vehicle of this size and price. Great value for the money and the warranty is an added plus.

This car has been a joy to drive. It offers all of the latest safety features, which I value greatly. The drivers seat is so comfortable and my passengers have also been very pleased with their seating. This 68 year old Grandma is 100% happy!

It’s ok

1100 miles on Santa Fe tire pressure light comes on. Fill tires. Tells me dealer prep guy never checked tire pressure. Then the two days of trying to figure out how to reset the tire pressure light no where could I find it three look ups gave me three different ways. Then AI tells me the only way to reset the light you must drive at least 20 for 15-20 miles and it resets well that was another day because I don’t drive that much And travel that far. Bad programming. I have had the car almost 3 months and the dealer or anyone else can help me to split screen on home. Bad programming. When I’m walking up to the car push the open locks the trunk opens. If the figure is near the side trunk open it opens. Poor design. I could go on but. If you are going to have a tech heavy car you need to have a separate session on another day.
