Doesn't have much power from a standstill.

If I am at a signal and I need to take off quickly (whatever the reason), I have to plan ahead and switch to sport mode. If I am in normal mode, I will not be able to pass someone. If I am trying to merge onto a freeway and there is a vehicle there, I have to slow down because I know my Santa Cruz doesn't have immediate speedup power.

Vehicle died or shut off on major highway at night. Lost headlights and everything for a few seconds. Everything came back on and we continued. No check engine or anything came on. As if the complete vehicle lost power. Idk but it was scary. Hasn’t happened since. Vehicle had around 2,000 miles on it when it happened. Has 3,200 on it now. No other problems except transmission seems jumpy or something. Never had a cvt transmission before so that could be it.

Perfect Small Truck

I was looking for a small sport utility vehicle but most of them are lacking in power. This Limited with the turbo fit the bill. This is basically a sport utility with small bed. I see it as an extra benefit. Also, like all the tech and has as many if not more options, then my 2017 Maxima Platinum had. Kinda feels like a car when driving.

Sales rep was very pleasant

Disappointed front license plate holder not installed have to return to take care of. Final vehicle detailing not as good as it could have been. After first time thru car wash, I washed vehicle myself there were two scratches on roof. I cannot say that car wash did not cause but I had just taken my other vehicle thru same wash 20 minutes before and no scratch. So I do wonder.

So many features that you need to read the whole manual

The bells and whistles on my model are so numerous to me that I had to go to YouTube to understand how to utilize them all! This is not exactly a good thing. I'm talking, like, you will be tested on these if you push a certain button and you don't know what you just did! I'm not sure how the other models rate, but there are certainly some options that are just not necessary, but they are ON as a default and you have to find out how to disable them. Overall, this can be distracting and I found myself fiddling at red lights just to turn something off that was too weird. The rest of the truck is lovely. Its got a smooth ride and the gas milage is pretty good. It looks pretty in all black and it's not too high or wide for me.

Fun to drive. Eye catching styling.

My Santa Cruz has a sporty feel when going down the road yet the suspension smooths out the bumps in the road very nicely. Acceleration is outstanding and gas mileage is excellent. I like the changes that brought back control knobs for some accessories, but the digital controls have indicator lights that are hard for me to see, especially in daylight. It's not a vehicle for heavy hauling, but it is great for fun outings and hauling sports gear.

Nice vehicle. Very underpowered

I'll be honest. I'm having buyer's remorse. I guess I never really stepped on it when test driving, and now I'm stuck with a vehicle I don't really like all that much. A turbo version would have probably solved that issue, but I've had friends who had nothing but problems with their turbos, and I'm a bit leery of buying one.

Great Vehicle

I was looking to trade in a Tucson for a truck and almost decided against this truck due to my experience at a dealer with my last Hyundai. I went with a different dealer and they met my needs with no hassle which added to my love for this truck. It is similar to the Tucson but very updated. All around I am super happy with the vehicle.
