Really the best vehicle on the market (for me).

I live in Southern California, so I have the luxury of being able to fuel a hydrogen vehicle and the Hyundai Nexo is really one of the best options on the road. It has all of the features I could ask for: heated/cooled seats, advanced driving aids like lane assist and radar cruise control (which can even handle stop and go traffic, down to a complete stop), a large touch screen which you don’t have to use because there are actually buttons to control vehicle functions, and CarPlay support. To top it all off, it provides all of this (plus a 5 minute, 320 mile range, fill up that’s far easier to deal with than finding a high capacity EV charger!) The only complaints I have are minor: the central console is a bit large (making the front seats feel a bit cramped), the cup holders are not as useful as they could be, and there is no HUD or in-car WiFi hotspot (which are nice extras to have). Additionally, it would be nice if the battery was a bit larger (so I could top up at home from my solar panels and avoid needing to use hydrogen at all). Aside from those minor issues I would definitely say that this is the best car to buy in Southern California under $100k (and, with incentives, it was well under $50k!)

Worst vehicle ever

This car has been nothing but an inconvenience and hinderance to my life. Absolutely nothing about it is reliable.

Great Hyundai Nexo!

I like this vehicle so far. It is reliable, equipped with advance functions like satellite camera from the top, rear and side detected camera with alert sound, etc... The loyalty complement 5 years of hydrogen fill up is excellent. Five stars!

Great technology! Lack of fueling infrastructure. Expensive fuel cost

Not your typical EV and there is no need to stay at charging station for hours to recharge. Refueling is quick if you can find a working station in CA. Only recommend leasing this vehicle due to the fuel cost. Once the manufacturer is not paying for the fuel, I am heading it back.

When I don’t have to worry about where I can refuel .

Please consider extending the fuel card for owners of the car. I feel I will have to sell and never buy a hydrogen car again if I have to pay $36 a kilo after the card runs out… plus the car is nearly worthless because of the charging woes

Hydrogen is too expensive and not available.

The vehicle is absolutely amazing but is worthless because the hydrogen price increased dramatically and hydrogen stations are closing one after another. Even when they are open it’s hard to get.

The car itself is great!

I really enjoy this car. I was hoping that it would be a bit more rugged with ability to have a hitch bike rack, but I have become accustomed to it as is. I don’t love that it has a plasticky feel and the control panel seems overly large. The arm rest is still too far back and doesn’t stay open well. A car at this level should have more amenities especially things like driver seat memory and wireless Apple car play

Great car but waste of money if Hydrogen fuel prices do not fall soon

Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles makes more sense to me for mass adoption but without wider and more reliable fueling infrastructure and lower fuel costs, it is doomed to die. Hyundai should bump up free fuel to $25,000 for existing Nexo customers to account for the sharp increase in Hydrogen fuel prices by more than 50% to reward us for placing our trust in Hyundai and its fuel cell plans and for the steeper than usual depreciation of the vehicle as compared to the others. Hyundai should also work with Toyota and Honda to strategize building fueling infrastructure like Tesla did with charging stations.

Love the car, comfortable, great drive, great technology

main difficulty with the car is the Hydrogen situation, cost per kilo too high $36/kilo and I have almost used up my $15,000 fuel card in just 2 years 25,000 miles. Many stations have gone offline and others have technical issues so getting Hydrogen is sometimes difficult. If the cost of Hydrogen was cheaper as it was when I started my Hydrogen Journey in 2017 when it was $10-$12/kilo and the amount of Hydrogen stations had increased rather than decreased, I would be happy and be keeping my Nexo for years to come. However due to the situation, as it stands now, I will be taking a huge loss on the car and selling it this week and getting a different car.

Does what we need. Not very exciting

Love the idea of zero emissions, though are aware of problems with hydrogen sourcing. Access to hydrogen can, and has been a problem. Happy with fuel card so that we have zero cost for fuel. Vehicle seems a little dull, though this may be a good thing considering technology. Other thoughts: information interface needs work to make it more intuitive, and please warn me when my windshield washer is depleted.

Not what I expected!

Very limited hydrogen stations. the stations you find are quite often not working. when we bought this car they did not have mileage rating which is poor. I'm afraid that once we use up the fuel card this car will not be an econnomically sound decision to drive daily. The cost of hydrogen is high which we thought might come down when more stations are available but I don't see that happening it weht from 26 to 36 per kg. I assume a trade in will probably be VERY low and who would want to buy it. Like I said I would trade it in right now if I could get a good price ! I would get a Ionic or a hybrid Tucson or Sante Fe instead of the Nexo. Let me know what you will give me for a trade in maybe we can make a deal.

Wonderful, beautiful, comfortable car

I wasn't expecting to purchase a car that day. The internet said the Nexo colors were blue, white and orange. My husband dragged me to the dealership. When I saw the car I was pleasantly surprised, it was beautiful. When I drove it, it felt like the car I was thinking of replacing. Smooth acceleration and braking. The controls were convenient and easy for this grandma to figure out. I love my new car!

Lack of fuel stations

To many issues with either finding a fuel station that is working or that takes the gas card. So much Hassel to have to think way I advanced to locate a station that is working. Most stations are down, give short fills or just out.
