Safety features are over cautious

The car is great except for the safety features. The cross traffic backup feature is going to cause me to have an accident when i back out of my driveway. Ridiculous that it resets when the car is tirned off. Needs to be permanently turned off. I have to be able to back out quick and it slams on the breaks. Continuously beeps at bank drive through because it thinks i am too close.

Loved my 2019 Kona, problems with Bluelink App on 2025

I drove the car off the lot with a Bluelink App issue. The Dealership couldn't help me and recommended I work with Bluelink. Bluelink was a waste of time. I am now working with Hyundai Customer Affairs...not much better either. They refer me back to the dealer. A run-around. Now I'm bringing the car in for evaluation which could take 1-2 days and unable to get a 2025 Kona loaner. Poor customer service all the way around.

So far, so good; we have only 700 miles as of now.

It took a bit of time to learn all of the "buttons" and the height of the Kona compared to our Sonata; we are still working on figuring out all of the workings of the vehicle; but the vehicle has been nothing but excellent.

Dependable and a smooth ride.

I love my Kona. It is a great vehicle to own. Not too big and not too small. It’s a perfect for my busy life. The safety features help ease my mind when my teenage kids need to drive the car.

Great car, with one annoying flaw

I really like this car. It has got a really great design that makes it look modern, new, and futuristic, very comfortable, and as a very techy person, I am in love with the ultra wide display stretched across the driver's side, which only adds even more to the modernity of it. Literally no complaints except for ONE, and it really bothers me a lot. I dont know what the designers were thinking, but the center console design is atrocious and I hate every aspect of it. I am very picky about certain things and this is one of those things. For starters, I dont know why they made the cup holders somewhat diagonally aligned, instead of lined up like very other car does it. It also leaves some strange vertical gap with no purpose to the side of the cup holders. They could have used that empty space to make the cup holders bigger, which would have let me put my Yeti cup in there, but I can't. The storage area of the center console also bothers me and anything you store in there can kind of just slip out and is exposed open, and it comes with a plastic loose tray to actually hide and store some of your stuff there, but almost nothing since its so high up to the lid. I used this area in my old car every day and its design on the Kona infuriates me and makes me wonder what the designers were thinking.
