The ownership experience has confirmed I made the right choice.

Getting a longer range than expected - around 280 miles in the winter, and up to 325 on temperate days. This may be due to driving in Eco mode. Handles well, with a nimble turn radius. Although not the plush interior of a luxury car, a lot of nice touches, including the heated/ventilated front seats.

when about 15000 miles on it, starting to hear noise when accelerating or slowing down either by braking or changing re-gen level above 0. Dealer did not actually drive the vehicle, just ran diagnostic, and kept it for 4 days for this. Not only the quality of the car disappoints, the quality of their service disappoints to the point their "life time warranty" does not appeal. most likely this is an isolated case, but most likely won't buy another Hyundai.

Love my EV

Replaced my Kona non-electric with an EV. Love it! Great efficiency, easy to drive, sits fairly high, looks great. Small enough to park most places, easy to park. Great air conditioner...excellent miles per charge!

Comfortable, Great Driving Exp, & Fantastic Cargo Space

From camping to grocery shopping, this vehicle has all the space and the range to go everywhere I go. The seats are comfortable and accommodate myself as well as my very tall passengers, but have the option to fold down for when I need to haul items for my bigger trips. The vehicle has everything I want.

2020 Hyundai Kona EV Ultimate trim

I love just about everything about it. I am getting over 131 eMPG with this vehicle and a near 300 mile range. The Heads-Up Display works great. It will display Current Speed, Cruise Control Speed, Speed Limit, next Turn By Turn direction and distance, Lane Keeping Assist information. It also displays cars in blind spot on left/right of you. My major complaint and this is the reason I didn't give it 5 stars is it is advertised as a SUV. I doesn't come with any roof rails and none are available after purchase. It is a SPORTS Utility Vehicle! This limits its usage. Kayak/canoe, skiis or lumber (5 ft back of front seat to Liftgate) can't fit inside with the Liftgate open. At least it won't suck in and exhaust from the vehicle.

Good vehicle for everyday local use

We feel good about using an electric vehicle for local everyday use. It's cost per mile in the Pacific Northwest is very reasonable - perhaps 1/3 of that of a gas powered vehicle. We charge it using a 110 20amp outlet every evening. It is plenty spacious for everyday use.

Wow! I am impressed!

I bought a 2020 Kona earlier this year and although it was not my first choice to be honest In retrospect it was probably a great choice. I really like this car. The build quality seems on point and I have not had any problems to-date with anything (hopefully it stays that way). I would totally recommend that anyone looking for a reliable, reasonably affordable electric vehicle strongly consider this car.

Great value and reliability. With rebates the lease was a good deal. We like how this drives and the safety features. The lights could be better and the back window collects dust, but these are minor issues.

Good, but not perfect

In most ways, I like this vehicle, but it has had one serious deficiency. The car in question is an electric vehicle. It is prone to the 12 volt battery going dead. This may be due to my forgetting to shut off the car when exiting, or leaving one of the doors not fully closed, but This has happened to me twice. Because of this, I would not recommend this car if it is critical that it be able to operate when you need it.

This is an excellent Sub Compact Vehicle. It provides great performance with excellent range of driving. Hyundai claims that this car has 258 miles of range. But, we're getting more than 300 miles regularly from day one. It comes with all the safety features and entertainment options. Cargo Space is little tight but that's given considering this is a sub compact car. We loved it so much that we ended up buying another one for our kids. Knowing they are driving around in this greatly built car gives us a sense of security. Great job Hyundai!!

Great Car

This vehicle exceeded our expectations. The vehicle features for the price, the instant accelaration of the EV, saving on gas, this is just an overall great vehicle for our needs. The smart cruise control (which I didn't think we'd use very much) is probably one of the most important features on this car since we do a lot of commuting. We seriously considered the Tesla 3, and while a good vehicle too, was a bit too bumpy on the suspension for our tastes. Highly recommended.

I will never buy a fossil fuel vehicle again! The Kona is the way to go! The interior and exterior styling is exquisite. I am a proud EV owner. The commitment Hyundai has to their customers and the environment is unbeatable.

Great EV

The Kona EV has exceeded my expectations on range and comfort. I get somewhere around 300 miles of range without using climate control. I still get 250 miles of range with climate control on constantly throughout the summer or winter. Opt for the Ultimate trim if you can. The head unit upgrade is almost necessary. The leather seats with fantastic hearing and cooling really help mitigate the climate control heft on the battery and range. Even after 3 months of driving it almost daily, it is still fun to hop in and drive. I prefer the Kona to the other car for most outings that don't require suit cases. Groceries, even hardware store runs seem doable with the Kona.

Great car. Excellent range. Have recommended to several friends. Three have leased the Kona EV and one a Kia Niro. Would suggest that the dealerships or someone share information about charging stations and which ones are available in the area.

Kona EV 2020 Limited

Love the Kona EV styling, battery range and handling. After the Tesla Model 3 SR, the Kona EV is the best bang for the buck. It beats the Tesla because it provides a real dashboard in front of the driver and there's a sunroof.

Meet George Jetson's Car.

Great overall vehicle considering this is my first EV. Only issue mentioned in the survey is the brake system with the noise and reaction of brakes coming to a full stop. Feels like I abruptly step on the brake when coming to a full stop.

Kona EV after 1 year and 16k miles

One of the best EV values, good efficiency and range with a practical interior that can accommodate bikes easily with the rear seat folded . It has some firmware deficiencies, quirks and bugs, but one can adapt and enjoy the positive attributes and a generally pleasant driving experience.
