Overall good vehicle but could be improved

Nice vehicle but could use an upgrade for both interior and exterior. Not a lot of features for the cost but still costs less than other vehicles in the market with less features than this Kona provides.

Efficient and fun daily driver

Kona EV is efficient and fun as a daily driver. Handling is respectable but ride is way too bouncy and floaty. Great tech and good amount of space, easy to park and drive around townz

Fun to drive. Electronics are a little quirky. Cold temperature issues like milage and tire pressure.

Bad power millaege poor customer service

When i bought this car i thought hyundai was going to be honest with me but they didnt take care of customer and never got a good experience with this car and worst part was i had to travel interstate i regret ever buying this car i wish i can trade it with my previous car tucson 2024

Electric vehicles have many good traits but aren’t so easy and inexpensive on trips over 200 miles.

Great All-Rounder EV

I’ve been driving my Kona EV for a bit over a year now and I love it. It has plenty of cargo room for groceries and trips to the hardware store, and is an all around great car for local errands. For highway driving it’s even better — the adaptive cruise control and lane keeping make the freeway a breeze even in heavy traffic. The electric drivetrain is really nice too. I got an EV for environmental reasons, but I would get one again because it just drives better than a gas car. It accelerates well and never lacks power, but it also has absolute steadiness and precision at low speeds that I’ve never seen with a combustion engine. I highly recommend it.

Best Vehicle I Have Owned

I’m 76 years old so have owned a significant number of vehicles and my 2024 Kona EV is the best one yet. The only shortcoming is the range of 260 miles. I would like to see it hit the 300+.

A solid entry-level EV

The Hyundai Kona electric is better than I expected. It’s bigger inside and outside, and has all the driver safety bells and whistles. For being an entry-level EV it’s quieter inside than I expected.

Perfect for me

Fun to drive. I drive about 30 miles per day. I'm able to keep it charged just by plugging into regular 100 volt outlet at night.

RIYL Constant Surveillance

I got a new car because if I'm going to invest in a car, I want it to be new! I like having an electric vehicle because I hate the fossil fuel industry - but the car I had before this one was a 2007 Toyota subcompact and I miss it all the time. It was so well designed! I'll never get over it. I like that I can use cruise control, I like that the seals don't leak yet, I like that I don't have to care what the price of gasoline is. Owning an EV has truly shown how little our society has invested in EV charging infrastructure and it's infuriating. I'm fortunate to be a homeowner with enough money to afford a level 2 charger for my garage, but before I did that I was always stressed out about when and where I was going to plan to charge, and often public chargers are busy or broken. I like that I can quickly accelerate when I have to get on our terrible freeway onramp, I like regenerative braking, and that I can't lock my own keys in the car. I really dislike how "smart" the car is - but I gather that all cars made in this decade are like this. The user interface of the media console is distracting and kind of clumsy, it honestly makes me feel like I'm less safe of a driver because using it takes so much of my attention away from the road. I really really dislike that the car is collecting data on me and I assume selling it to horrible companies. You have to consent to this to use the Hyundai app, and I'm like "Well... I do want to see the current charge level of the battery... so I guess you can keep track of everything I text and play and say and do and sell it to Palantir or whatever" Please note: I have no idea where the data goes, but isn't the point? You will probably write this off as some screed by a crazy old weirdo but: you asked!

Right Size

Right size. Acceleration just right. Good turning radius. comfortable. Nav good. Trunk good with back seat down. NEEDS passenger electric seat and lumbar. Faster charging. .

I love driving this car!

This car is the perfect size for me. More space in the garage compared to wedging my 2011 Sonata in there. Handles well, comfortable ride, it's great to finally have Apple CarPlay and a backup camera. I like the automated safety features, although the front collision avoidance is a little aggressive at times, at least for me. I can't really rate performance since I keep it in Eco mode all the time. I'm sure in Sport mode it would be peppier off that starting line, but I don't need that. I'm a great candidate for an EV, since I don't drive a lot and they're usually short trips. I've been able to survive using the included 110-volt "granny" charger most of the time, with occasional stops at a public charging station. I appreciate that Hyundai provided a free adapter for the Tesla charging network, although many stations are restricted to Teslas only.

Mostly a very good car

Good power, high efficiency, good enough range for me. The only problem is the driver seat headrest that pushes my head forward and down. Still looking for a fix.
