My first EV

Love the car! Don’t miss the gas pump. Having several mobility challenged people to transport, the Ioniq 9 has mad a very comfortable choice. Still getting used to he driving features, but they do simplify things a lot.

Roomy, well appointed, and so fun to drive

Very happy with this vehicle. We wanted an EV that looked like a regular vehicle, inside and out, and for the most part the Ioniq9 delivers. The electric drive train is smooth and powerful, and so responsive that we sometimes forget how big the vehicle is. Creature comforts inside are well thought out. The infotainment system can be difficult to navigate, but kudos to Hyundai for having separate controls for the most used things (like climate control and radio). The stalk-mounted gear shift is a huge improvement over other arrangements. And the safety and convenience tech are top notch and easy to use. We had multiple problems with the manufacturer-supplied tires, but that's pretty much the only blemish we can find.

Great functional family car

Fantastic space, cameras are great, lots of bells and whistles. I don't love the exterior look of the car but really enjoy driving it!

Spacious and great range

I’ve been very happy with my Hyundai. I’ve had some issues with charging from home. Public charging is not an issue. Hyundai has been efficient at trying to deal with the problem. I bought the vehicle to transport supplies for my job and to say it’s spacious would be an understatement. Most folks are amazed at how much I can squeeze in. I drive a lot for work so range has not been an issue. I had wanted AWD but ended up 2WD. I’m not disappointed with the 2WD. The weight of the batteries and responsive drivetrain have more than compensated. Honestly impressed with how quiet the drive is. Especially compared to my husband’s EV.

LOVE driving my EV!

I have wanted an EV for a few years and this seemed like a no brainer with high gas prices in 2026. I love the vehicle. if I had any complaints it would be that public charging SUCKS! Yes the Ioniq 9 comes with the Tesla compatible charger, but Tesla doesn't share all of it's charging stations with non Tesla owners. Screw you EM! I'll go to any charging station EXCEPT Tesla!

Everything I hoped for

Vehicle has performed flawlessly for us over 18,000 miles. My only gripe is with the service department, we had a side mirror get broken that took an obscene amount of time to repair and replace, requiring multiple visits and miscommunications. But overall, great kid hauler, and we’re loving not having to go to the gas station.

Spacious and sporty EV perfect for long trips

This was our first EV and it has exceeded expectations in every way. Can fit multiple configurations of people and cargo with many high tech features for both the driver and passengers. The ride is quiet and comfortable with lots of nice little touches tha make it feel luxurious. Big bonus is to never have to worry about gas stations or oil changes ever again.

Perfect car if a few improvements

Love everything about vehicle EXCEPT the door lock/unlock. Car should automatically lock when you walk away from the car and automatically unlock when you are near the car. Also, the app and software is good but slow. We have a Tesla and their app is very user friendly and seamless. Lastly, Hyundai should have full self driving just like Tesla.

Great luxury 3 Row

I have driven my 2026 Calligraphy Ioniq 9 since September 2025. The vehicle has been flawless in my driving experience. The I9 has a smooth and quiet ride less the sporty feel in curves. The select mode for sporty feel does ratchet up the sports feel but overall the vehicle is designed for comfort and easy drive. Everyone that gets inside has nothing but good remarks and the surprising power that it provides. It will be hard to find another vehicle that is as quiet and smooth as this ride. I have had cadillacs and lexus vehicles and this beats them hands down. The range on the battery is incredible and charging is phenomenal. Solid car would recommend to anyone that wants a solid E-car.

Motor died after one month

The Ioniq drove great, but the rear motor died after one month of normal, city driving. It has yet to be repaired after sitting in the shop for two months.
