FRONT CAMERA IS TOO SENSITIVE. WHEN ALREADY STOPPED AT A LIGHT I6 COULD BE 1 OR 2 CARS LENGTHS AWAY FROM CAR AHEAD AND IT BEEPS. SOMETIMES I AM THE 1ST CAR AT THE LIGHT AND IT STILL BEEPS. VERY ANNOYING. TOOK IT IN FOR SERVICE BUT THEY COULD NOT FIX IT. PAINT COLOR IS BLACK, SEEMS LIKE VERY POOR PAINT QUALITY OR PAINT JOB. THERE ARE TINY SPECS OF PAINT CHIPPED ALL OVER THE FRONT END AND FRONT HOOD.

Good 1st Year

Just pasted the first anniversity with our 2025 Ioniq 6 SEL and we love the car. Fun to drive, spacious interior, adequate trunk space and fast charging (16% to 80% in 17 minutes at EA). Our driving is primarily local at around 500 miles/month averaging about 4.6 miles/kw. The only additional options we wish the SEL model had is memory seats since my wife and I both drive and front camera.

Fantastic vehicle with some strange quirks

All-in-all very satisfied but still struggling with the logic behind door locks and trunk locking. Also Lane Keeping seems to hug the right lane marker more than I'm comfortable with.

Overall, enjoying my experience with the Ioniq6

This car was a big upgrade from my prior 10-year old vehicle and I was excited to get a fully electric vehicle. By and large, I have enjoyed my experience with the car since getting it about 3 months ago. Pros include: remote climate start via the Bluelink app, heated seats (though I've not used them yet!), ability to control climate individually between passenger and driver's seat, highway driving assistance (car will automatically change lanes and maintain a speed of X miles per hour, slowing down when cars in front of you are getting close), blind spot indicators in side mirrors, and several sensors to detect when you're close to another car/object/person. I find the vehicle to be quite spacious, and the trunk is sizable! The range is great (about 285 on a good/warm day and closer to 200 on a cold day.) I wish the steering wheel wasn't leather-wrapped (having a Vegan interior was important to me!). Having the controls for the windows in the center console is strange. I've not figured out the trick to using the key (sometimes it unlocks then quickly locks the car before I have a chance to open the doors). The frunk is basically non-existent. I think the sensors tend to be overly aggressive and/or go off when there's nothing nearby. Wish my model had a heated steering wheel (I'd use that more than the heated seats), and I find some of the user-experience features (between the app and the display in the car) to be a bit cumbersome. (For example, I used the remote climate-control in my car the other day, then when I got in the car and tried to start it, it wouldn't start. It seemed like it was starting but it wasn't. Turned out I needed to explicitly stop the climate-control. Then I could turn on the car). I admit that I haven't devoted a lot of time to learning all the features of the car, but if it were more intuitive I may not feel the need to. However, this car met almost all of my rigorous criteria for what I wanted in an EV and I've been quite pleased with it so far!

Good Car, Good value

Good car, good value. Driving software can continue to be improved with Active Cruise, front/back sensors and lane tracking. Tech is good but could be great with better sensors. Overall like the car, would like to also have active cameras during drive time

Great deal on Ioniq6 Lease

Controls redundant. And who needs to adjust regenerative braking?

There are far too many symbols and characters on the dashboard, many of which are hard to decipher. The manual is next to useless as it is badly written.

Loved it first 6 weeks.

I loved the way the car drove, great acceleration, nice handling. Then it stopped working. It has been in the shop more than in my possession now.

Close to perfection

This car does almost every convieveabal thing correctly with just a few gripes that could be seen as preference however i would kindly dissagree The first gripe i would have about the car is its built in navigation i personally feel it is unnecessary. I would gladly trade it for built in wireless android auto and apple carplay support. This way you dont have to buy a dongle and you can use your preferred navigation tools. The seccond gripe i have is the network provider of choise the car runns on. Verizon while being a fairly robust network provider is objectively the smallest out of the big 3 and i find it would be better if the end user could choose there provider of choice in case where they live has a better suited provider coverage wise My last big gripe i have is the chargeing port cover and location. I find that with how most chargeing stations are placed it is akward to get it parked correctly for it to charge and its cover is kind of massive and sticks out way too much in my opinion. If i were to suggest a improvement i would say towards the center of the rear of the car or the hood of the car. In a perfect world i would say multiple ports throuought its body for flexibility but that i feel is a tall order, however if it were to be done with the internal layout done the way that it is i feel software controll for your prefered port would be a nice addition for wich port would be oppened by the button on the dash. Otherwise i would say that this car is a very fun very comfortable no nonsense ev. Though i think it would be fun if it had a few goofy features like some competitors in the market.

Loving my first all EV!

Totally enjoy my Ioniq 6. The ease of driving, the comfort and the features are all excellent. I also have a Hyundai Santa Fe (gas powered) and enjoy that vehicle. My only concern is with the ICCU issues the Ioniqs have been having and not feeling like Hyundai has been forthcoming enough on the details of how big a problem this is.

Really great car, build quality suffers

Love the car, the best parts are the ride comfort, range and speed. Biggest issues are that it has immediately (less than 4k miles) developed a ton of rattles and squeaks. I've been to the dealer for this issue and they found totally unrelated trim whose clips weren't secured right. Still have the squaks and rattles, drives me crazy because the cabin is so quiet. I couldn't recomend this car because of that and the dealership exerience of not finding the problems. In total this is the 3rd time in the first 3 months of ownership of the car going to the dealer. Really disappointed in the build quality.

Really good overall, with a small parking sensor gremlin

The car is a really good commuter vehicle and the adaptive cruise control is lovely in the stop and go traffic. I haven't driven many other EVs but this one has a nice smooth comfortable ride especially while driving home in rush hour traffic.
