High quality vehicle, fantastic EV technology, TERRIBLE software.

The build quality is superb. materials, fit & finish, design, utility, all above average. Acceleration is good, handling is fine, it looks more sporty than it is. The worst part of the car that I have to consider when choosing the next vehicle is the software. Navigation and route planning is awful, the app is slow to respond and some things are just designed poorly, such as the doors unlocking on walk up, but not locking on walk away. button on key fob opens trunk but doesn't close it, doesn't let you set i-pedal to always on, car doesn't recognize key at the charge port if locked, lock/unlock buttons dont work if off & unlocked, etc.

Love my Ionic 6!

This is my first EV and it will be hard for me to go back to an ICE vehicle. I love the instant torque of my Ionic 6 and I love how fast it charges. I also love that it needs little to no maintenance.

Really great car

Car is great. Comfortable plenty of leg room, decent sized trunk. Drives great. Doesn’t get great mileage in the highway.

Reliable and roomier than expected

Positives: The Ioniq 6 gets consistently good range, provides what feels like more seating area than the Ioniq 5, and has some very cool comfort and useful features. I have zero regrets in purchasing this vehicle. It's amazing. Negatives: The rear view mirror does not adjust high enough to provide a useful view for taller drivers, the steering column seems to be slightly misaligned, and air conditioning is weak in the back row.

Zippy, fast and fun

Very comfortable ride. Very spacious

Canbe a bit chalanging finding charging stations when traveling long distances. was rated at 310 miles per charge but then is recommended to not charge past 80% wich only gets 240 miles thenif you have to use AC you only get 220 miles and then there is actual miles wich is more like 175. On the brite side it charges very fast. The impacy warning can sometimes go off when nothing is around can be annoying at times.

good range but lacks....

like all EVs this is a smooth but fast car. it is spacious but it is still missing that comfort and over all looks. it looks like fish that tries to look like a Porsche.

Great Alternative to the Model 3

Best EV car this side of the Model 3 — I recommend the SEL trim level since it is the best balance of features for the money. Lease deals on this car are fantastic and the car delivers as promised in terms of comfort, especially rear seat leg room, drivers seats with ventilation and heated seats are great. Interior is a good balance between current and futuristic design and I like it more than the IONIQ 5 interior. Design is great even given some of the hard materials and led lighting is well thought out. Driving dynamics are really good but could be a bit more sporty. The Porsche inspired design elements are appreciated and rear of the car looks great at night. Think poor man’s Panamera in terms of size and space. Build quality is good overall but there is one minor buzz near the front door speaker. This is definitely a car that I would recommend for folks new to EVs. Charging is quick and with NACS adapter charging is not an issue. The cons to this car are pretty minor overall and they have to do with using the OTA software more effectively to update software feature content and more rigorous software programming of the infotainment and driving dynamics system. Folks coming from Tesla cars may have a hard time adjusting to crude software features and the need to adjust settings repeatedly since they are reset when the car is turned off and shifting from park to drive. The regen paddles are a nice touch but should not have to be used as much as they are. The high regen setting works great on regular streets but on the highway starts to feel like someone left the emergency brake partially engaged. Seems like switching from i-pedal mode to regen setting 3 on the highway should be seamless. Another minor gripe — Sport mode should always be the default setting and that setting should be stored in driver profile settings. Voice command software needs minor improvement and the Hold operation needs to be refined to feel seamless when bring the car to a stop. Please make the blind spot cameras standard on all trim levels like Tesla. May want to offer glass roof on sunroof on top end model. There is only one “bad” to this car — the navigation system software is laughably bad and will get you lost. Somehow ours switched into “avoid highways” when coming back home from the ATL airport which can only be described as tragic when driving around metro Atlanta since we couldn’t figure out how to turn the setting off. Hyundai please junk it and use a Google or Waze based system. For potential buyers always use smartphone based navigation as a backup to this system until Hyundai pushes a major update to this. All in all this is a great car and great EV. I would give it 4.5 stars if possible. If Hyundai keeps developing it, refining it, and keeps it at a price point just under the Model 3 it is a home run and a no-brainer. Hyundai please give it the social media and general media exposure this car deserves because it could be the equivalent of the what the 3rd generation Accord was to Honda — its that good!
