Great car confusing electronics

Car drives great and is very comfortable. Very good electric range. Very confusing electronics. Sometimes it is better not to have so many choices that have to be set up in varied configurations. Just trying to get to the radio when you are using a GPS app is overwhelming while you are driving. The car goes into Iphone mode and the radio is in car mode and you can not figure out how to get from one thing to another. Door handles of very poor design, if you leave the car unlocked everyone can see it as the door handles stick out.

Underwhelming

Roomy interior, decent ride, poor controls, driver assist features are a hassle and too much trouble to use, map and airplay menus hard to set and use

Range is better than i expected. Love the cruise control features. Map feature is not up to what i expected. Hoping SW update will fix this. Text message audio voices cell numbers as a decimal number (1 million .... ...)

I love this car.

I love this car BUT it had an ICCU failure at 1500 miles. Covered under warranty but this has been a known issue with Hyundai’s EVs for years and a permanent fix has not happened yet. Mine was replaced within 3 weeks which is much quick than others before mine. Other than that the car is amazing. Built well, interior is very nice. Interior entertainment system is good.

'bout my Ioniq 5

I really like everything about it except I am having a problem charging it at Tesla chargers and have not had any luck getting a reason why.

Fantastic car - skip the ChargePoint credit

We love our Ioniq 5! It’s our only car and our first EV. It’s also our first leased vehicle. After having it for a few months, we don’t want to drive anything else (esp anything gas powered) ever. It’s an amazing car! What’s not great - in fact, what’s horrible - is the ChargePoint credit which was offered as an incentive on our Ioniq 5 lease. ChargePoint is complete garbage and the worst of the many EV charging apps. Literally any other EV charging app is better than ChargePoint. Literally. Choose the home charger credit instead of the ChargePoint and save yourself a lot of wasted time and effort trying to use the stupid ChargePoint app and credit. That’s worthless. The car itself is amazing. We’ll be leasing another Ioniq 5 when this lease ends and we’ll continue to lease in the future. We won’t be choosing the ChargePoint credit next time for sure.

Ioniq exceeded my expectations

I bought a 2025 Ionic 5 Limited and was very satisfied with it. My wife drove and rode in it and declared she either wanted this one or buy another one. So I boughr and Ionic 5 XRT and love it!

Love this EV!

After reading about EVs and the Ioniq 5 (and Kia) for years, we bought this Ioniq 5 because it was more spacious and had been at the top of the ratings for several years. We have loved the spaciousness, the thoughtful features (particularly the air filtration, automation of features) and design. We are loving every fun, practical, minute.

Great car that needs some work to learn all of the features

The car is wonderful to drive. We also have a Tesla model 3 which is simpler to learn but much noisier on the road and less flexible for making revisions to driving program. This car is more comfortable, has more space and, is easier to climb into than the model 3. Downside is several button presses that have to be learned to park and leave the car locked. On the model 3, we just have to stop the car and put it in park. It locks itself. Also the steering wheel paddles seem unnecessary and are not being used. It's not an airplane! Our model 3 uses 1 pedal driving and will stop completely when foot off pedal. I adopted the level 3 which required using the brake to stop. I had ro learn from the dealer how to stop the car moving ahead after stopping. The conversion to 1 pedal driving changes while driving and is not a permanent setting, which can reduce driving safety due to controls changing while driving . The ionic 5 car lurches ahead too rapidly for me when the accelerator pedal is pressed after stopping. The model 3 has a gentler response. But in spite of these issues, the Ioniq 5 lid is a much better vehicle for us than the models 3. We especially love the simple heating, cooling, radio, and parking controls on the Ioniq5. There is a lot to learn before fully utilizing the wonderful features of the ioniq5. Please simplify the computer interface on the screen and on the steering wheel as much as you can. There has obviously been a lot of work planning the interface and on upgrading the car. It is an extremely well thought out and programmed electric vehicle - one of the best and perhaps the best!

I totally love this car

I've had my Ioniq 5 for almost 3 months now and have Zero complaints. The car is incredibly solid and fun to drive with amazing acceleration. Whisper quiet.
