Really a fun car both to drive and for comfort

We really like our new 2025 Ioniq 5 vehicle. It is fun to drive with amazing acceleration and control. The best part of the vehicle, compared to our previous 2023 model, is that they have put some of the basic control on the center console and not on the screen. This makes a huge difference. That and the rear windshield wiper. My only problem at times is with the audio controls going from one phone to another.

Solid value for price. Quality build & functionality. Drives smoothly.

Suspension is very pleasant. Ride is smooth! Mobile Phone Connection is good. It is nice that two phones can be connected at the same time, one for media and one for phone calls or one for both. Large High Voltage Battery so the car has great range and the energy usage seems really efficient. Car is good value for the price. The doors are solid, but not too heavy. My quibbles with the vehicle which is the SEL trim: Acceleration is severely slowed down by the on board computer. Car is capable of being MUCH faster. Location of Start/Stop Button is not ideal if you forget to turn off the car and have to reach back inside for it SEL trim does NOT have programmable sideview mirror settings SEL trim does not have sliding/adjustable center console. Regenerative braking implementation is not ideal. I prefer one pedal driving, but iPedal Max and any setting that is not 0 feels like you are fighting the brakes and not just like when regenerative braking should engage when letting off of the accelerator.

I've never enjoyed a day-to-day car more!

I love this car. It's smooth, it's powerful, it's comfortable, it looks great, it's full of features that I don't even know yet. My only problem is that I'm running way over the lease mileage limit but I don't care.

Home Charging Does Not Work

We were promised that the vehicle could be charged at home. It does not work. We returned the vehicle to the dealer and they were no help. They basically told us to go away and pound sand. This is a common problem that is posted to the internet by many owners. This is false advertising that the car can be charged from home. We would not have purchased the vehicle if we had known about this problem.

Solid EV

The Ioniq SEL is a solid vehicle and the charging range is allows us to travel anywhere in our region. The savings vs a petrol powered vehicle are significant.

BEST Compact EUV ever. This compact SUV does it all! Drives&Parks!

This Compact SUV does it all. Everything is at your finger tips and with voice recognition you can ask Hyundai to turn on the defroster and move it to high, etc. Thus your hands are on the wheel and your eyes are on the road. BEST new feature is the camera replacing the rear-view mirror. This should be standard on all vehicles period. My wife and I never ever need to adjust it, the view is 6 lanes each direction wide, you can see everything and more day and night! Simply the best. The Ioniq5Limited is fully loaded with more than most luxury than most in the Luxury class!

I’ve been driving for over 50 years, so have owned numerous vehicles - in addition to the vehicles owned by my husband, which I’ve driven. This is my favorite. It is quiet and smooth, it handles beautifully, I can go farther on a charge than I would have thought possible for an EV, and it actually has more power than the two sports cars my husband previously owned. While my main criteria was making an environmentally safe purchase, I sacrificed nothing in doing so, and gained more than I anticipated.
