Beautiful Vehicle with Room for Improvement

The GV80 Prestige is one of the best looking vehicles around. It is one of the best buys for the $ in this category for the features and upgrades. The materials appear to be of high quality and the features of the vehicle are unmatched. I've noted a couple areas for improvement: 1) The upgraded engine is responsive but not fuel efficient vs. peers. 2) There are still some build quality issues that are annoying. For example, the lid to the phone storage area pops open when you hit a bump and the license plate light fixture falls out of the mount periodically. Lastly, the weather strip around the driver's door had to be replaced because part of it was crushed during assembly. However, the ride is impressive, comfortable, and very quiet.

GV80 unsatisfactory Electronics and service

The GV80 is a wonderfully riding car, but its electronic package is awful making the car a bad choice. Also the service network is dismal.

2025 GV80

Great ride, plenty of power, good gas mileage, very comfortable. I love the 360 camera and the windshield display. Everything in the car has options like the dash display, interior lighting, motor sound etc. The seats have a built in massager, heater or cooler. I can control the rear seat temperature from the front dash. Plenty of room in the back for golf clubs etc. very happy with my purchase.

Unhappy after One Year

After purchasing new and owning this car for a year, I still genuinely enjoy many aspects of it. The luxury feel, comfort, and overall performance have been excellent, and when everything is working properly, it’s a pleasure to drive. The ride quality and refinement are exactly what I hoped for when purchasing the vehicle. That said, there are a couple of disappointing issues that have impacted my ownership experience. The adaptive cruise control has been frustrating, especially on curved roads. The system frequently appears to read vehicles in adjacent lanes instead of correctly tracking the lane I’m driving in, which causes unnecessary braking and makes the feature difficult to trust. For a vehicle in this class, I expected the technology to perform more reliably. My biggest disappointment has been the sunroof. I’ve owned many vehicles with sunroofs and never had issues like this before. Unfortunately, this vehicle has spent weeks at the dealership on multiple occasions for the same recurring problem. Parts have been replaced, repairs were performed, and while I hoped the issue was resolved, the same problem has started happening again just this week. It’s frustrating and disappointing to continue dealing with a recurring issue after so much time in service. Overall, I still love the vehicle for its luxury and driving experience, but the repeated sunroof problems and unreliable cruise control technology have taken away from what would otherwise be an outstanding ownership experience.
