Great auto I have enjoyed driving this veh.

Great car, the only things I would change would be the seats, too stiff and hard making the long drives real uncomfortable. Center console intrudes on the driver's leg, need more space for legs.

$90K+ Car w/10K miles on it that battery dies just by sitting parked

We acquired this vehicle as it is billed to be in a luxury class, however it is unreliable. We travel extensively and frequently are gone 2 - 3 months at a time. On our last such trip, the vehicles had less than 10K miles & the battery died, could not be jump started by the towing service & had to be towed to the dealership where a new battery was installed. Now 6 months later, we have been gone leaving the vehicle garaged at home for 3 months & last week on Aug 29th I received a low battery warning & the car cannot be contacted via the app due to this. As we return home in 10 days I attempted to schedule a service for the same battery issue with the dealership I purchased car from, however I have found out that that dealership, Genesis of Thousand Oaks Ca. has CLOSED permanently, the next closest dealership in Santa Monica Ca. is 46 miles from my home. This is not going to work for any continued service needs. I am terribly disappointed in the vehicles dependability and I will look to sell this vehicle immediately, I would like to point out that I also own an, Audi A6, a Volkswagen SUV, Ford F150 and all are left for this same amount of time which ALWAYS start immediately and as expected with NO issues whatsoever.

My car had an oil change 2 weeks ago. Coolant cap was not properly closed and it lost coolant. I had an important business trip 150 miles away. Unaware of the issue my engine showed to be overheating. I called Genesis immediately and they like nothing wrong was done on their side. They told me to call roadside assistance and to not drive my car. Hard to do when you are not close to home and have important business meeting. The Genesis app wanted to tow my car to another state. I asked hospitality manager to assist me getting a car and/or finding a way to get my car towed to their dealer. She was not willing to assist. I found a Hyundai dealer 3 miles away and asked if she would contact them and she would not reach out to them. Luckily the Hyundai dealership exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond to help me. I later found out the owner of Genesis also owns the Hyundai dealership I visited. The hospitality manager could have contacted them and tried to find a solution. I was able to drive my car back to Genesis since the Hyundai dealer confirmed the issue was the cap not being properly closed and coolant ran out. Hospitality manager never checked on me. I called back to let her know I was able to head back and needed a loaner so they could double check my car. She asked that I sign the paperwork and provide DL/insurance while I was driving. The loaner car smelled like smoke and I was told to fill it back up with gas when I returned it. No one from Genesis followed up to let me know they had looked at my car. I reached out in the middle of the day for an update. My car was fine since Hyundai resolved the issue. I had to drive back to Genesis to get my car. No one offered to bring my car back to me. Absolutely no customer care or support. I had to go out of my way to resolve an issue that was created by the oil service which made the problem 10x worse. Now I am trying thinking of trading in my car for a more reputable dealer that provides more support.

I love my GV80!

I have been very happy with my GV80. It’s luxurious but so very useful in the Woods where I live. It has been through deep snow, mud, across fields and served every purpose I’ve asked of it. Fantastic vehicle!

Dealerships are the major drawback. Genesis isn’t open on Saturday but hey take it to a Hyundai dealer….not what I paid extra for! I didn’t take my Lexus to a Toyota dealer.
