okay, but not in love

It's not the world's most handsome vehicle, and no one told me that the sunroof wouldn't actually open. Feels like that was deception, or something else. The range promised is nowhere to be seen. And the vehicle bleeds mileage in a way I was unprepared for. If I start driving and it says I have 120 miles left on the charge, it's problematic when the real amount left on the charge is closer to 80 or 90. I've had to grab quick charges in some random and unsafe places in the past.

Love it, with just a few glitches

Mostly I love this car. It is fun to drive, has a lot of space inside and because it’s electric, somewhat guilt free to drive. There are a couple of issues though. The owner’s manual is poorly written. Like maybe it was translated from Korean by AI and not proof read by an English speaking person? The website is cumbersome and doesn’t jive completely with the car. For example, it says I needed service at 5000 mi but didn't need it until 8000. It was giving me a schedule for a gas car and not recognizing that it is electric. Also, I keep getting an error message that the software didn’t update, but I have no idea how to fix that. Wireless AppleCarPlay connects with my husbands phone but won’t set up for mine, despite me having the latest phone and operating system. I overlook these things because I like the car so much, but Genesis needs better IT.

The GV60 all Electric is one of the best vehicles I have owned.

The treatment we received from Genesis Corporate when we had an issue with a recalled charging module was better than we could have expected. We were treated very fairly. Since that time, which was three months without our car, we have been extremely satisfied with everything on the vehicle. I strongly suggest you work out some type of spare tire space and provide one in the vehicle

Fun and zippy with some quirks

My GV60 is my favorite car and I’ve had a lot of them over the years. It’s not perfect, the tech tries too hard and gets in its own way but man is it fun to drive. The acceleration will let you put any ICE car in your rear view mirror in a hurry. The seats are comfortable and the cabin spacious. My main gripe is the software. There are a lot of poorly designed features that make it harder instead of easier. An example - I can pull the car out of a parking spot with the key fob but it won’t pull out of my garage with the key fob because it sees the 2” lip at the edge of my garage floor as a gaping chasm too large to drive over. My biggest challenge is the profiles, there is no good way to change them until you’re sitting in the car. That doesn’t sound bad unless you’re 6’3” and your wife is 5’1”. If she gets in with my profile she can’t reach the dash to change the profile. If I get in with her profile I’m bent in half like a pretzel. You would think the key fobs would know who is using them and automatically change profiles accordingly but you would think wrong. By just giving up on using several features we’ve learned to love 60 but there was a lot of cursing at first. The learning curve is pretty steep and mostly you learn that it won’t work the way you think it should. Once you get to that point you start to find the charm and your love affair can begin in earnest.

Great EV after the software bugs were sorted

Purchased a 2024 GV60 after years in a Chevy Bolt, which I loved. Wanted more range and actual fast changing and got it with the GV60. Sleek exterior, great interior and controls with actual buttons for key tasks (unlike a Tes*a). Comfortable ride and performance when I want it, even from the base rear-drive model. Downsides: I endured a series of charging-related issues during the first year, all of which now appear resolved via a series of software/firmware updates. Fingers crossed, I've avoided the known issue with ICCU failure. There have also been a few Genesis customer service own-goals, including emails announcing the availability of manual preconditioning via the Genesis app (when no such thing yet exists), and the current vaporware email campaign for NACS adapters. A quick trip to online Genesis forums confirm I am not the only GV60 owner who finds these failures puzzling and unworthy of a luxury brand like Genesis. Wishlist: Manual preconditioning, a light by the charge port that turns on/off when the cover is opened/closed, option for more aggressive regenerative braking when using the paddles

ICCU Fuse

I love this vehicle but it let me down recently when a fuse failed that charges the 12v system. I had to tow the vehicle to the dealer and it took five weeks to get the replacement part and install it. Otherwise a five star.

I mostly love it

We leased a new GV60 after many years of driving Toyotas. I can say with certainty that the ride is awesome - smooth and comfortable. The interior is well-designed and even the back seats are comfy. I'm not very tall, and I have good visibility when I'm driving, even on the highway. The car is very peppy and responsive. The car holds a charge well, even when we've been away for some time. And it generally gets good mileage. Other than the normal drawbacks of electric cars (road trips), our family has really loved the car. There are a few things that have left me wanting. I think the car is wide. I know this is a bit the trend, but we live in a city and this is not ideal. The turning radius is also not great. While there is a lot you can do through the app - warm/cool the car before you get it, it does seem like you should be able to do more. For instance, it seems so crazy that the digital key is not available in our model - especially since the Genesis key fob is huge.

Great except for

The GV60 is an excellent electric vehicle, but its excellence is marred by software and quality issues. This is my second GV60. The first one was bought back due to unsolvable creaking noise issues. My second GV60 is plagued with software-related scheduled charging issues. It is at the dealership as I write.

Electric lux

Having lease stay a Tesla Y this vehicle has everything Tesla forgot. The finish, the electronics, the comfort and convenience, and most importantly to ride far surpasses anything Tesla has to offer. The only negative is that this car along with the Tesla is prone to flat tires due to the heavy weight of the batteries.

Beautifully Designed Vehicle

Purchased my GV60 in Atacama Copper and its a stunning vehicle that always turn heads. My daily commute is 130 miles round trip and she is an absolute pleasure to drive. Comfortable, fun and very peppy when I need to zip past slow drivers on the highway. I purchased the Performance trim and have not been disappointed a single day over the last 5 months since owning the vehicle. She is choke full of features that would have been much more costly with other luxury brands. No regrets and would definitely purchase another Genesis vehicle.

GV60 Has a Serious Reliability Issue!

I have only owned the car a few weeks. It died on me and had to be towed to the dealer because the system that uses the high voltage battery to charge the low voltage battery failed, allowing the 12V battery to fully discharge requiring a jump to even enter the vehicle. The fix was a manufacturer recall that should have been installed by the dealer before I purchased the vehicle but was missed. My biggest concern is that the Genesis owner groups on Facebook report dozens of owner who still experience the problem after the fix, causing understandable anxiety among all the owners. Otherwise I love the car so far and will gladly change the review to five stars when Genesis convinces us the issue no longer exists.

A joy to drive

Just switched from an ICE car to an electric for the first time. I absolutely love the GV-60z it drives beautifully: very smooth with quick acceleration and excelllent balance around turns. It’s super fun to drive and is really nice looking internally and externally. My only wish was that it was easier to locate available level 3 charging stations along my route. The process is more complicated than it should be. If you are interested in an electric I would totally recommend this car. It’s a good size and is very comfortable.

GV60 is Awesome!

I am loving the GV60. Very comfortable and loaded with every option. Super quiet drive and amazing power! Definitely a great purchase. Only change I would make is to have more range. But I love the car! The interior is stylish and the screens are large and easy to see. Heads up display. Virtually drives itself.
