I love my car

The Genesis G80 is so intuitive to operate and has real knobs and dials which make it much easier that trying to do everything on a digital screen. Plus all the luxury bells and whistles one might need. I get compliments on the car regularly from people walking by.

A luxury sport sedan that gives more of both than expected

2023 G80 3.5t Sport Prestige, Makalu Gray - This car is a dream to drive and really turns heads. The driver and passengers always feel pampered whenever they're in this vehicle and it rarely goes anywhere without getting positive comments and inquiries. The performance is exceptional. Not once have I asked the vehicle for more when it didn't have it give in spades. And at the same time, as long as you don't live in Sport + drive mode, fuel economy runs well above the EPA estimates. From performance to comfort to safety to design, this is the kind of vehicle that leads the discussion other automobile manufacturers have about what a car should be.

No need to spend extra on the G80s competition

Competing in the same class as the BMW 5 series, Audi A7 and Mercedes E class…. This car is more luxurious, handles equally well if not better and comes with an unsurpassable warranty that out beats it’s competitors…..best value in its class

Love the car, but plagued by initial quality, inexperienced mechanics

Beautiful, beautiful car. Excellent handling and driving experience. Great features. Great internal layout. Poor sunroof design, door trim external finish, rearview mirror assembly, seat ventilation finish, extensive time in service (3.5 weeks). "Lemon" level quality Trunk design dumps a lot of water in the trunk when opened after rain Sirius XM promotions cannot be disabled by Sirius or Genesis. A great annoyance for a premium car

Overall - great car and great design that could use a few tweaks...

I love my 2023 Genesis G80 Prestige. Receive compliments regularly from strangers on the sporty site wheel rims and the style of the car. Most see Genesis GV70 and 80's but not sedans. The car drives smoothly, is quiet, interior luxurious for passengers, and the car handles well. The car has power and handles great in the mountains and on highways. The Italian Pirelli tires did not last many miles on Denver metro roads but found Continental tires with the dealership that will have better wear without loss of performance, comfort, or increased noise. Some frustrating things in the design that could be easily fixed... sunglasses holder is awkward for standard lenses, the headset display is useless with sunglasses and could be a eyebrow mount on the dash instead for "heads" placement, the speedometer on the dash should be in the middle of the steering wheel and the RPMs too...can't see without moving the head around the wheel, the sunroof should be tinted to block hear and sun or a hard interior fabric should be used... gets excessively hot because it is thing fabric, the sunroof makes rattle sounds when going over large bumps or curbs, the radio controls don't allow for old push button selection to target a radio station... have to scroll to change channels, the car phone features to answer, hangup, and perform commands is awkward... can automatically dial the last phone number when clicking the off button again and it leaves the user on the call screen without going o the home screen, the app drains phone battery life when signed in, and the key fobs stink as designed with battery life only lasting months before setting off the car alarm. This all sound picky but would take the car to elite status. Sadly when driving a loaner 2025 G80, the full length screen experience looks cheap and generic like electric vehicles... not the luxury and sportiness expected for a sporty high-end sedan and I was informed the sporty waffle rims are going away in the 2026, which is the main compliment I receive in the car. Sometimes, less is more with design changes year-to-year.
