AFTER PURCHASE SERVICES
Poor Service Quality: When I brought my car in for service due to shaking and an illuminated engine light (despite having serviced it two months prior), I was told I would have to wait another 2-3 months for an appointment. Given that the car felt like it might stop at any moment, this was extremely concerning. Although I was able to secure an earlier appointment by sheer luck, the service team’s initial response was unacceptable, especially since I rely on my vehicle to transport my children to their activities.
Lack of Rental Vehicles: When I dropped off my car, I requested a rental vehicle as I was informed that diagnostics would take a few days not before, but when I dropped off my car, my advisor informed that it will take a couple of days. I was shocked to learn that no rental cars were available, leaving me without a means of transportation. The service representative could not provide any information on the timeline for the diagnostics or repairs, and I received no updates despite reaching out. This level of service is far below what I have experienced with other car brands.
Confusing Warranty Information: There seems to be a significant lack of communication and training regarding warranty information. One representative told me my warranty had expired, while another confirmed that it was still valid. This inconsistency is frustrating and undermines my trust in the service department.
Inadequate Waiting Area: The dealership/service department lacks a proper waiting area for customers. This is highly inconvenient and not reflective of the standard of service I expect from a premium brand.
Due to these issues, I am strongly advising my neighbors and friends against purchasing vehicles from Hyundai. If this is indeed Hyundai's policy, I sincerely hope the company reconsiders and makes significant improvements to its service. To be acknowledged in the global market, it's essential not only to sell cars and increase sales numbers but also to provide exceptional service quality. The poor communication, lack of proper training, and subpar after-sales service are unacceptable. Additionally, the lack of a waiting area for customers further detracts from the overall experience.

My previous cars have been from brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, and Volkswagen, and I had high hopes for this new purchase. Unfortunately, my experience with Genesis California Stevens Creek has been far from satisfactory. Here are the main issues I have encountered:

Incompetent dealerships like Steven's Creek Genesis where staff has the mindset and ability to sell used cars are unfortunately tasked to sell a self proclaimed luxury brand.
Worked with a sales rep to select the vehicle I liked at a price that worked for both of us. While signing the papers the out of door price went up just like it does in shady places like these. For no good reason, Dave was brought in to intervene who literally said things like 'I am doing you a favor by selling you the car' and 'I am losing so much money talking to you right now'.

Rofl!

Wasn't surprised because had overheard him shout the same things to a number of customers that day.

Walked out the next minute.

In retrospect, I am glad this transpired. While I had somehow convinced myself to shell out over 50 grand for a fancy hyundai, learnt quickly that cheap under fancy badge is still cheap. The way this place looks and treats new customers is enough to tell how it'd treat the ones coming for service. Before you salivate on 5Y/60K warranty remember that -

(i) There arent very many service centers around, likely on purpose. You are out of options right off the bat.
(ii) Service is at the mercy of arrogant people like this place employs. You might be asked to change the oil on your own in their shop :)

This is exactly why you don't see any Genesis on the road. There is no brand prestige and there is no customer service. Others may not be perfect but this place is as low as it gets.

Don't take the bait. Steer clear.

DISAPPOINTING AND DISSATISFIED
Genesis makes great car. I am satisfied with the car but until they provide excellent customer service for the PRICE customers pay for their vehicle on top of the EXTRA HIDDEN COSTS! They are in NEED of absolute reinvention of their customer service and experience. An awful Chinese restaurant provides better service than this dealership to be honest. Sadly, on top of getting ripped off from the god AWFUL dealer and experience, contacting the dealer is way worse than getting a hold of the government and I say that with full confidence. I have called the dealer several times to get some answers for my concerns and no call was returned. Kristina did provide some assistance to certain extent and stopped. I do not recommend this dealer at all.

Quality SUV, reasonable pricing, excellent service
Most importantly, GV-80 offers exceptional quality and performance at reasonable pricing. Competitive high-end luxury vehicles offer similar quality, but at much higher pricing.
Love the standard features, smooth ride, high performance, touch-screen automated controls. Plenty of space for 3 sets of golf clubs, plus 5 person seating. All the features anyone could ask for in a top-of-the-line vehicle. Compared to their competition, customers really get more for less.

The friendliness of the people
In my original review, I mentioned that the manual was poorly written. I still stand by that. I gave a 2 star review because a fellow named Bilial (spelling) tried to work me through the features but didn't have knowledge of all the features. What little I worked with Chris Nuygen was very positive.

The dealership is poor and is lucky the veicle is very good
Genesis lucky the G80 is a very fine car, assuming I can learn all it's feature.
With all that mentioned above, it's imperative that the manual be completely rewritten to include an index
Re question below, I would recommend the vehicle but not certain about the dealership because it's the only game in town

Friendly staff, Dave's assistant, was great and concerned about our after delivery appointment and made sure everything was done
Dave Gil tried to satisfy our requests , there was a mixup in communication over detailing and a instruction for the tech controls, but it was resolved, My previous purchase was at a Lexus dealership, the Genesis experience was not as satisfying.
