Response to my eval was prompt and well done. Showing care for the customer and good communications.
I appreciate St. Charles Hyundai and Kelly Sullivan to take the time to respond to my comments and show me that customer service is important to the dealership. Thank you for communicating. I realize this is a very difficult time with COVID affecting staffing.

I have been a customer since 2005. I have always been treated well.
I only take my car to this dealership. I firmly believe their having the service history is like a doctor having a patients history. They even make notes of what to keep their eye on for future visits. I am pleased that if I ask, they will hand me back a vacuumed and washed car. Classy service.

Immediately after submitting my previous review, I was contacted by Saint Charles Hyundai. The Service Manager, Josh, was very apologetic, explaining that neither he nor Tyler knew about the emergency release for the fuel door located in the trunk. He took full responsibility for the situation and refunded my $73. I'm changing my review because of Josh's quick response and resolution.

If I return to Saint Charles Hyundai for a repair, I will first contact Josh for his assurance that I'll receive quality service. I would recommend them to a friend, only under the same conditions.

Car kept over-nite
Car was kept over-nite but I wasn't told parts would be ordered for my brakes. I was quoted a price of $780.00 to fix the problem and I said ok. When I picked the car up the next day the bill ended up being $495.81 and when asked about the difference in price the service associate just shrugged his shoulders. Then upon returning to my car I discovered the driver floor mat had grease from the shop on it. The service department attempted to clean it but was unsuccessful. The Hyundai Manager offered a discount on my next service and offered to take the car in again to clean the mat. I didn't want to take my car in again and said " no thanks".

To make a long story short everything turned out ok and I would take my car in again.

I have been a loyal Hyundai owner for 20 years (four vehicles) and Saint Charles Hyundai has serviced my cars for 17 years, most recently my 2008 Azera.

On the evening of May 11th, with ¼ tank remaining, I stopped for gas and found that the button on the driver side door that releases the tank door wasn’t working. I wasn’t able to fill up. I got a little panicky worrying about running out of gas and called St. Charles Hyundai. The service department was closed, and the woman answering the phone said that they were all booked up through the week. I told her my situation and she took my name and number for service to call me in the morning. She also suggested I just stop by the next day to see if they can at least open the fuel door so I can get gas.

I called the next day, explained my concern about running out of gas to Josh, the service manager, and he suggested I stop by so they can “look at it.” I drove right over and Tyler in service told me they could diagnose the problem and he could fit me in. He added that to diagnose is usually $146, but he would give me a “break” at $73. I paid the $73. I was still worried about running out of gas so I figured I had to. After an hour waiting, Tyler said that they diagnosed the problem and I need a new release button and it would cost $196 to repair. He would need to order the part. “$196 over and above the $73 I already paid?” Yes. I was not happy about paying nearly $300 to fix it, but what choice did I have?

Tyler then asked me to follow him to my car and he would show me how to open the door with the emergency release, which he did. I was dumbfounded. He knew I was completely unaware of the release. Why hadn’t he, or his manager, Josh, just told me about that in the first place?

I am disgusted by Saint Charles Motors' dishonesty, charging me $73 to diagnose a tiny, obviously non-working part, when they could have just told me about the emergency release and quoted me the $196 price on the repair, and let me decide what to do. Instead they just openly played me for a fool and took advantage of me. Evidently, a loyal 17-year customer means nothing to them.

That’s it. Never again. I will be looking for a new car within the next year and you can bet it won’t be a Hyundai or any vehicle from St. Charles Motors.

Good but takes long for a simple service
They took 2 hrs for an oil exchange and a manufacturer recall with this appointment but never mentioned they will take 2 hours to do it.
One recommendation will be if an appointment is taking this long at least provide a complimentary car wash service. I had my hopes this was one of the reasons of the delay.
