My husband and I had a blow out. We called St. Charles Hyundai. To get our new tires, we have always used them for our service and never received treatment like we received on July 1st. They basically told us they would not be able to help us, the next available appointment would be July 16th, never again will we use this dealership for service or to purchase a new vehicle. WHAT HAPPEN?

Stress free
My leased Kona was totaled in the Ofallon hail storm. I went in and met Kevin. He was great. Very helpful and got me in a new Kona asap. His follow up has been amazing. Everyone there was so nice and made my experience stress free. I highly recommend this dealership and Kevin if you are looking for a new car.

Hey Ho don’t go.
I’d rather bathe in a pile of donkey dung than go to this place again. Service is horrible and when they screw up they fail to take ownership of their mistakes. Won’t even give a real apology. Service is awful.

St. Charles Hyundai website is useless for scheduling or checking service appointments. They should pull it down if they don’t want to maintain a functional site. It’s been unusable for months!

FIRST AND LAST SERVICE ROM ST CHARLE HYUNDAI
6-24-22. I took my 2022 Genesis GV70 in for is first service. The Tech put my Genesis Wheel lock key on his air tool and stripped my wheel lock key, and the service writer said it was like that when he took it out of my vehicle. I watched the service tech work in my car through the large window in the waiting area. I could see he was having problems and told my service writer the tech was having problems. I bought the wheel locks at St Charles Hyundai and it was an OEM kit. The service writer at first suggested that non-OEM locks are not the best for them and I set him straight right there. I told him I put the new locking lugs on by hand and hand tightened them and it was not stripped prior to them using it. They would not budge from their position that it was, so in fact I was kind of called a liar. So I left wit a stripped out wheel lock key and I am NEVER GOING BACK TO SAINT CHARLES HYUNDAI EVER AGAIN.
Thanks for showing me what kind of service team is working there.

Careful of the up-sell
Good service but they can run up a bill on those who don’t know any better. My son (who should know better but didn’t) got a scheduled oil change and allowed the service writer to up-sell the service totaling in excess of $700.00. Brake fluids, engine flush, …… 2019 Veloster with approximately 40k miles.

You have been warned.

Poor first impression
Lack of acknowledgement from the very beginning really derailed this experience. I stepped out of my vehicle and waited over 2 minutes in front of 3 associates behind desks to even acknowledge me. And the first person to acknowledge me simply said that one of the advisors would be eventually with me. It felt like the advisors ignored me for 5 minutes or longer (they left their desks to go to the shop- again without any acknowledgement) before coming back to greet me.

I was offered a shuttle service and Josh personally drove me back and forth. He was very professional, courteous and sincere.

Unfortunately, when I received my vehicle back, I felt disappointed as it wasn’t even vacuumed- I guess I expected too much.

Amazing customer service
I had an emergency and needed to drop off my car. I am in the middle of moving. The person that checked me in let me know that I would have to wait and that you do not offer loaner cars. He also said it would be at least 3 hours. I had already had a rough day and hearing that was very upsetting to me. The young man seem to have very little experience dealing with customers and he definitely had no compassion for my situation. I believe at one point I said just do whatever you need to do I just need my car fixed. He looked at me and said well then it’ll be 159 for a diagnostic check. I looked at him and said my car is less than two years old with very little mileage. This is also the fourth car I’ve bought from this dealership and didn’t appreciate how he was dealing with me. I told him I needed a manager right away. That’s when he called over Brad. I was relieved to see him as I have worked with him before. He was very apologetic and understanding. I explained my situation and I also told him that the young man prior to me wanted to charge me for a diagnostic check and then he had also informed me that the mechanics were all at lunch. Brad said give me a minute let me go see what I can do. He came back he said he was gonna get me in right away he had spoke to the service manager. About an hour later Brad came back out to keep me informed as to what was going on. He also apologized again for how I was treated earlier. He said the young man I was dealing with was fairly new and he did talk to him about how to do things a little different. Brad recognized me from coming in over the years and it was nice to have a friendly face. The repair itself took close to 2 1/2 hours. The huge difference there was Brad kept me informed along the way and I felt like I was a priority. Once my car was completed he explained that I got a new battery no charge, since it was still under warranty. I told him that I wish I was able to give him a hug that’s how excited I was to just have my car fixed so that I can continue moving. Finally I took a card of his and I told him from now on I will request him. He said if I needed anything his phone number was on there including a cell phone. He told me to call anytime. All I can say as a someone who’s been in retail management for 15 years you were lucky to have such a person working for you. Kudos to Brad.
