Our Toyota Tacoma could never be replaced!

We bought it new, with less than 50 miles on it. We have over 105,000 miles and very, very few issues. It's a bit smallish, but it's a hard-working beast on a 4-cylinder engine. It has crank windows, A/C and a radio. A configuration of 5 lug ABS that didn't come on any other vehicles but the 2.4 Liter engine making it hard to find parts. It's solid, reliable and gutsy. It'll be in our garage for a long, long time taking everything we can put it through while enjoying the drive. We've replaced the timing belts, alternator and little else. Some age issues include replacing the door-locking mechanisms, A/C ducting cushioning drying out and a minor crunch in front that was body-shopped to look awesome again.

400000 YES 400 THOUSAND and still running Great !!!

TRD SR5 V6 Ext Cab 3.6 4x4 on my 3rd clutch 2nd ignition and 2nd set of pedal covers. My girls a 22yo BEAST This trucks just keeps on going Original powertrain NEVER an issue. I take good care of her and she has taken good care of me.

Great truck

First time for major repairs. My truck only has 75,000 miles. Changed all the fluids, all the belts, all the coils, four spark plugs, fuel filter, front brakes. Runs well in all types of weather. Great little truck

It’s an ok truck

It starts every time and no worries about getting home. Fuel mileage is horrible for a small truck at 14-15 mpg. And even worse If you tow a small 6x10 trailer with a lawnmower. The painting is falling off with every rain shower

Great choice of truck

I chose Toyota for their dependability and consistency in customer service . I’ve bought this truck brand new, took care of it and it took care of me. 20 years later I just reached 127,000 mile mark. Let’s see what the next 20 years bring. Minimum repairs need but all were completed with timely oil changes . No regrets .

Lifelong fan

People asked why I would pay cash for a depreciating asset when I bought this truck in 03. My answer is that I don't plan on getting rid of it. The truck has been great. I've had it maintained down to the paint even! I have 264k and would love to take off on a cross country trip right now!

My Tacoma has been a real work horse. It is a 4 Cylinder, 5 speed manual with a cab and half configuration and a 6 foot bed. The power and bed size are ideal during our recent house remodeling and landscape as I have made some 20 trips to the local dump. The truck has had only two major repair issues; a computer failure and the front ball joints needed repair. I get about 21 mpg around time. The truck is comfortable, quiet, and the bed size is perfect. I wish it had a third door and possible a v6 engine.

A comfortable, reliable vehicle for light loads around town and on the road. Its classic styling defies time. Recently repainted after 15-plus years outside, the vehicle ( she) seems new again. The original interior, except for the floor mats, is great.

Tough, reliable, vehicle.

We have had our Tacoma for 18 years. It has never let us down. Maintenance has been minimal except for the recent suspension work done on it . It is a very versatile vehicle. It can carry 4 adults and abunch of cargo at the same time.

This truck has endured a cross country trip(Ny to California), been shipped across the Pacific to Hawaii, then back to California. The engine had to be replaced ONLY bc an oil change wasnt done right.

Best Truck...

I purchased my Toyota Tacoma new in 2003. This was the first new vehicle I was ever able to purchase for myself and I am extremely pleased with it. I’m getting close to 200,000 miles and other than oil changes, tires, spark plugs and wires I have had minimal repairs. Being a double cab it has room for four adults and the bed although only five feet long has been sufficient to meet most of my needs. The gas mileage is excellent and parking is quite easy with this smaller size yet very practical truck! Thank you Toyota!

Best investment I’ve ever made. 17 yrs old with 225,000+ miles and it is my daily driver. I have a 2015 Camry with 30k miles on it because I never drive it. Always drive my truck. Never had a major repair. 4 tuneups and 1 brake job and that’s it in 17yrs. I’m a Toyota man for life.

Tacoma is a very dependable pickup truck.

Had it for years. Continues to be very reliable. Very minimal service required every 6-12 months. No problems. If it ever expires, I will definitely buy another Toyota Tacoma. The rest of these words are just to pass the 200 minimum.

Great truck

I've had this truck since new and the only thing I had done was the oxygen sensor. I'm not counting normal maintenance items. I've got about 131000 miles and I plain to put more on as time permits. Love it.

I love my little truck. It doesn't have a ton of extra bells and whistles. It has a 6 Ft bed. It's a utility pick up truck and I understand Toyota doesn't make this kind any more which makes me sad. Someday this will be retired and I would like to replace it with another truck just like it but I don't know where I will find one.
