The third generation Prius is a wonderful car!

I truly enjoy the 2010 Prius. This is my second Prius. I previously owned the 2005, a second generation Prius. That also was a great car, but this 2010 third generation Prius is a step above! The engineering, performance, interior, and exterior design are fantastic! The fuel economy is great and when you need it, the power mode will get you up and running! I love the design and styling of this model. For a small car, there is a lot of room.

Dependable Toyota Prius

Love this car and have always taken care of scheduled maintenance and despite the fact that my Toyota dealer in Rockwall failed to put 3 quarts of oil in my car which i discoveref 6K miles later it still performs like a new car. Now i will change oil every 5K miles instead of the recommended 10K because i fesr some damage may have happened that's not apparent now. Word of advice at any oil change - make them show you the oil stick level before you leave shop.

Why I like my Prius

I have had a Prius since 2002. Both of the Prius I have owned gave me good service both in miles per gallon and no major issues to deal with. Although it is not the smoothest riding vehicle, to me it is comfortable enough. The front tires on my first Prius (2002) wore out quickly, the current Prius (2010) has shown that this issue is no longer there.

What I expected

At 80,000+ miles, my Prius has met all my expectations (a new car, when cared for, should present no problems), and unless something catastrophic happens, I expect that to continue for quite a while. Otherwise, the driver's ability to see outside is atrocious in all directions. Putting the rearview mirror smack in the middle of the windshield was dumb.

Prius is an excellent car

I bought my first Prius new in 2010 and I still have it and love it. It has 95,000 miles and runs like new. It has never had battery issues and is very low maintenance. I now have it at my vacation home. I recently bought a second 2010 Prius that has 50,000 miles, since they are so reliable. The hybrid battery adds weight over the rear wheels and the Prius is wonderful in snow. I consistently get 50 MPG. The savings is great but I love only having to pump gas every 450 miles. Sometimes that is once every 4 weeks for me. The Prius has amazing storage space. Both of my Prius's have Bluetooth- which is works great, backup camera, and a Navigation system that work well. A

Dream of a car.

Over 50 mph, smooth ride and bigger inside than outside (did Dr. Who design it?). Over 95,000 miles and other than routine maintenance, only replaced a regular battery and tires; not even a lightbulb. OK, it's not a rocket but in the "power" mode the acceleration is fine and the entire package is more like a space shuttle than a car. Would buy again in a heart beat.

Second Prius

I purchased a 2008 Prius new and the only problem I had was inadequate headroom, legroom & poor rear visibility. I bought a 2010 Prius and the headroom & legroom (the 2008 seat needed to be all the way back) was fixed. I appreciated the larger engine (1.8L vs 1.5L in the 2008)- even experiencing better mileage with the 2010. I was not as happy with the steering in the 2010 as I was with my 2008- the 2008 would pretty much steer itself whereas the 2010 needs constant attention. To disable the cruise control in the 2008 required the gentlest of taps on the brake, whereas the 2010 needs much more foot pressure. The hatch in the 2010 shuts much easier than the 2008- probably after reports of the earlier Prius' more difficult closures. Bottom line is that I do not plan on buying anything other than a Prius from now on. Their dependability and less maintenance (120,000 miles before the spark pugs are changed!) are indicative of a well-made vehicle.

THE BEST PRIUS YET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it is quieter, smoother and quicker than the first and second generations. And best of all it gets better gas mileage than the previous two generations, this is the 4th Prius I have owned. I am looking forward to getting the 4th generation in the future , but my 2010 only has 150,000 miles on it so it will be awhile yet. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK TOYOTA

Love my Prius

Seven years and 85,000 miles and I love the Prius. I drive both around town and frequent 250 mile trips east on 84. When the pavement is new (or good), the car is quiet and a joy. When the pavement is rough it creates road and tire noise -- the driving quality is still excellent. When I replace my other car, I'll probably buy a new Prius -- and end up with two.s

Efficient, dependable vehicle!

Our Prius is almost 6 years old and it's been a dependable, energy efficient car. It's great for long trips and those short "around town" rides. I like the convenience of the hatchback for shopping and hauling things to & from our destinations. Gas mileage is excellent! I would certainly purchase another one!

Love my Prius

I bought my Prius used..my first used vehicle. It had all the bells and whistles, sunroof, solar panel, heated seats, etc. it has not disappointed. My only regret is the plastic shell covers which my teenage sons have managed to pop off on numerous occassions while driving. I also see that newer models are not nearly as low of a clearance on the front aerodynamic plastic spoiler. This is a nuisance. The mpg us fantastic!

We bought this car new and my wife loves it still. easy to get 50-60 MPG...very comfortable...good sight range...love the mpg...use this for our out of town driving...other car is Nissan Leaf EV
