My 3rd HIGHLANDER!

I love & trust my Highlander to get me where I need to go safely. For work, I used to carry a lot of supplies in my first Highlander. My second Highlander was great to transport grandchildren in carseats and the 3rd row. Now, at age 82, my 3rd Highlander is easy to get in and out of, load groceries in the back and drive with confidence.

Great dependable ride! However, not the advertised 33 mpg

My Highlander hybrid runs great. It has lots of seating, a huge cargo area when the seats are laid down so I find I don't even need a truck. It does NOT get the advertised 33 mpg. I have no idea how they get that. I've owned mine for 6 years and have never gotten close to that. I record my mileage every time I gas up. It mostly averages between 19-24 mpg. Rarely 24. Usually, 21. Vehicle does not warn you that the starter battery is going to die!!! You will be stranded without prior warning so just plan on replacing it prior to 5 years on the battery.

The 2019 Body style is still our favorite (new one look like a mini van). And, of course the V6 engine is reliable, powerful and the the vehcile is stable on the raod, even when all three rows of seats are occupied. Toyota needs to return to this kind of quality. Hopefully the Proven V6 and V8's return. Mine hit 90k w/o a hickup and am keeping it at the advice of my dealer and mechanic.

Great value

We have driven our 2019 Highlander for 120k. We have had no problems and regularly service it. Our experience has been positive and we feel we got great value and performance from our Highlander. We will buy another one when inventory loosens up.

Best driving vehicle - One of the best driving cars that I have ever driven.

Comfortable, and secure on the road - great for long distance driving. Nice looking in the black motif, with very little chrome. The all-wheel drive is spectacular in snowy conditions, and the seat heaters really work well for those winter days.

Love this car

This is our 3rd Highlander and we really enjoy it. It is 5 years old and 137K great miles later we still enjoy it. We have not had any issues with this car. We get it serviced as recommended so it is in top shape and runs like it.

Love my highlander

The highlander is spacious, and I feel safe. There is sufficient plug ins and storage. I would like to have the ability to use Waze, but my vehicle does not have the ability to read my iPhone. Also, the seats are a little stiff and I wish they were more comfortable for long rides.

2019 Toyota Highlander

I love everything about the 2019 Highlander. I thought about buying a newer model but they changed the Interior Design and the exterior design I didn't like it as well. I went from and 2017 to 2019 and I believe I will stay with this car. Unless they go back to more of the 2019 features in the new model.

In most categories the overall rating is excellent. But there are a couple of items that could be improved. The most significant of these is the electronics; specifically the radio/sound system. The sync with our iPhones does work but the process can be a bit difficult; especially if there are two phones in the car. The system we have is not iPhone Play. I suspect this described difficulty would not exist if we had the upgraded system.

The Highlander is an absolutely great vehicle. No problems whatsoever. The vehicle handles well, stops well gets good fuel economy and is fun to drive. The dealer has been great to work with both during the sale and after sale service.

2019 Highlander Review

Bought vehicle new from Michaels in December 2018. Car is very comfortable. Brakes are excellent. Vehicle handles well. Absolutely no problems with the vehicle at all. Would recommend the Highlander to anyone considering an SUV. Has adequate power and gets great gas mileage. No complaints.

Standard features, spacious fit 7 people, affordable maintenance cost expenses, V6 engine saving in gas consumption. ⛽️ Seat are not very comfortable as it has thin layer cushion and no back support.

Very happy with my Toyota Highlander

I love my Toyota Highlander. It handles very well and gives a smooth ride. I also like the good fuel economy. This is a great car for long drives, and it just feels very secure and safe to drive. I always sense that I know what it is doing in all situations. Really like the reliability of Toyota. I have had Mercedes in the past and this SUV meets my every expectation.

No complaints after 2 years

I've had the car for 2years and have no complaints. I have the 7 seater Hybrid Highlander. Love the size. Not to big and not too small. Nice size cargo area when the 6th and 7th seats are down. I get about 26 MPG, not the 33 MPG they advertise.

Not perfect, but still really like this vehicle.

Deal with back/hip issues and the seats would be more comfortable if soft/plush. Don't love that I cannot open the passenger side doors from the driver's door without using the key fob. This is a basic feature in most vehicles these days, so the only options are 1) opens driver door only, 2) open all doors, which could be a safety issue, or 3) use the key fob. What's the point of keyless entry if you have to use the key fob? These are nothing major just the little things that could help set it apart.
