Good gadgets, bad seat recliner, fabric and AC vents

I liked the vehicle, this is my first Hyundai in US. The gadgets are very good compared with other brands but the seat fabric is worst than others, the AC vents you can choose just IN YOUR FACE or nothing...really bad engineering and we really don't need to be too smart to make a better control for it. Also, the seat recliner is bad, very, very bad!. Ow, and the door don't lock automatically when you leave the car...horrible!!!!

Love it so far. Only 1 complaint.

I love my new Tucson. I've only had it for 4 months and so far, everything has been good. I question the accuracy of the tire inflation sensors at times but mostly they seem close to accurate. I only have one true complaint. I had a Hyundai Elantra before. And the angle of the driver's seat and the headrest actually messed up my back and I had to go to a chiropractor to have treatments. Nothing else at the time I acquired that car could have caused my back to go out like it did and screw up my disks. Flash forward to now....I notice that the driver's seat in the Hyundai Tucson has the same weird angle, where the curve of the driver's seat and the headrest protruding forward is the same, uncomfortable angle. The difference between now Tucson (and then Elantra) is that now I know better and I put a pillow behind my back to push my spine into better, safer alignment. But I don't know why Hyundai still creates these seats with the weird, uncomfortable angles like airplane seats.

Love This Car!

Drives live a dream. I was to switch from a Jeep to anything else, but this car has changed my mind. It drives smoothly and is extremely roomy. While the color initially is what got my attention, I am pleased I selected this Tucson.

The main issue that apparently can't be turned off is the driver warning. Other than that, I like the car.

Personal safety leaves a lot to be desired

Why in the world do all the doors need to be unlocked in order to open the gas compartment cover?! Why can't I lock the car by hitting the lock button inside the driver's door when that door is open? As a woman who often drives alone, I do not feel safe driving this car. It's like the car WANTS someone to jump into my car while I'm getting gas or just simply getting out of my car and trying to QUICKLY lock it before leaving it in a parking lot. Also, I do appreciate that it lets me know if a car is in my blind spot when I'm changing lanes while driving, but in my part of the country there are often two left or right turn lanes side by side at an intersection, and if I'm in one of them with my turn signal on and another car is in the lane next to me, it beeps like I'm about to hit them which I very much am not. My only option seems to be to turn off the blind spot detection altogether. Don't even get me started on the haptic feedback in the steering wheel, which is so startling that it's more likely to make me drive off the road than save me from straying out of my lane. I did have to turn that option off. I also turned off the option for the car to literally take control of my steering when I'm getting into a turn lane; who wants that?! My last car was a 2009 Santa Fe and the personal safety features on that car were MUCH better, with a latch on the inside that allowed me to pop the gas cover while the doors remained locked, and the ability to lock the car from inside the driver's door when I was exiting the vehicle. The only thing I like better about the 2025 Tucson over my old Santa Fe is the large maps display and the Android Auto integration, both of which are excellent. I do love Hyundai as a brand but this is not my favorite Hyundai model by far!
