Tucson Hybrid great with a few exceptions

Tucson Hybrid working well. Using little gas, mostly running on electric. Remote start has failed to start vehicle a few times. Don't like the driver's seat adjusting when door is closed. When I have a cross body purse and bags in my hands I get pushed against the steering wheel.

Mostly positive

Wonderful ride. Plenty of legroom. Less gas mileage than expected. Less inside storage space than would be expected. Don't like features such as cruise control shutting off when wearing polarized sunglasses, or not being able to display Android Auto maps and Sirius XM at the same time. Climate settings are not retained when turning car off. For example, if heated seats are turned on while driving, then you stop car and turn off ignition, say for example when running a quick errand, then start car again, you must turn heated seats back on. This is very annoying on a cold day!

Review of my 2025 Hyundai Tucson SE

I really like my new Tucson. It is quiet, drives smoothly, and has a nice infotainment screen. I like the new features in the car. I have the SE model. There are two things I would change: This model should have an automatic driver seat. That should not be limited to the fancier model. Also, the bucket seats are hard to get out of. I would rather have smooth seats, like my 2009 Santa Fe had.I loved my Santa Fe. It worked perfectly for me all these years. I gave it to my son, because It is still a great car. That's why I stayed with Hyundai. I didn't buy a Santa Fe this time, because the new one is ungly: it looks like a box and it is bigger. Someone messed up the Santa Fe.I love my new Tucson, except for the two things mentioned that I would definitely change. Thanks.

Very nice car

Car has lots of room, nice ride. Not very smooth, but not bumpy either. Lots of nice features. Decent gas mileage, not great. Nice having saved seat seatings for 2 drivers. Sun roof is nice, and even comes with s bug catcher.

Very good car. Annoying technology.

Car drives well and is reliable. Manual is a huge unwieldy mess. Car has too many annoying features like telling me to drink coffee, which I don't know how to turn off. Hard to learn how to do anything from manual.

Highs and Lows!

My overall satisfaction is very high. The ride has a very solid feel and the mpg with the hybrid is excellent. I wish someone would evaluate how all of the style and design features makes it a challenging vehicle to keep clean and good looking. After hand washing, water continues to drip out of crevices for days.

A few things bug me

Having to hold the button on the dash and on the remote the whole time the liftgate is opening or closing is silly. Focus camera is super sensitive - if I look off to the side in any way, I get a message I should take a break. Sometimes I’ve only been driving a few minutes. The car has so many bells and whistles it is often hard to find what I’m looking for in the computer menus. I miss having an overhead compartment from my sunglasses. The seat is comfortable but I wish my particular car had the ability to set the seat position and go back to it later. Ride is fairly quiet, though I’ve not done much highway driving yet. Sound system is nice. Due to an injury less than two weeks after I bought the car, I’ve not driven it a lot. I still have less than 1000 miles on it. I’ll know more how I feel about it in a few. Liked my 2017 Santa Fe Sport much better!

Too much technology. Icons far too small and confusing. Too many safety features. Interior upholstery and lack of color choices disapointing.Radio doesn't stay on desired station. Lack of CD player is an issue. Not really happy with my choice! I just want to get in car and drive. I do not like having to figure out all of your supposedly wonderful changes! I wouldn't recommend to anyone!

So far so good

Comfortable and quiet. Gas mileage has been good. Seems like good value for the money although too early to comment on reliability. Linking phones was relatively simple. Easy to switch between drivers. Would like the car to remember more my settings like the amount of recapture from one drive to the next.

Great Little SUV, Needs a Larger Fuel Tank

A nice little SUV with a smooth ride. It is unusually quiet, has an upscale interior, and gets pretty good fuel economy. Desperately need a larger fuel tank, though. Has an unbelievable amount of room in the back seat.

some stuff really good, some stuff only eh

good car overall - nice lines, interior, and comfort level. and the panoramic roof is a huge win (doesn't open as much as previous models though). it's been reliable and drives fairly well. gas mileage barely 20 mpg for town. sport mode is fair, but somewhat lackluster. the fact that front collision warning requires you to turn it off every time and you don't have the option of just having a beep is very disappointing. and when it rains, front collision protection doesn't even work. what's the point of a half-way safety feature? and the warning light is on when you have it turned off, where as in previous models, the warning light was never on if it was off because the beeping was still in effect. (part of getting another hyundai was the satisfaction of feature customizing in previous hyundai owning experience.) for a car that appears very high end, it's disappointing how many features you cannot customize - especially considering earlier hyundai models were equipped with them. I had a 2018 hyundai and you were able to both turn off drl's and only have the beeping activated for front collision warning (not needing to adjust it every time I started the car)

My new car is wonderful

I am so happy with the purchase on my Hyundai Tucson! It is truly a great car! The safety features are great and the drive is so comfortable. The car is so quiet compared to my previous vehicle. It’s been a great car so far.

The 2025 Tucson Limited is outstanding!

I had previously been leasing a Mercedes for the past 15 years and moving to the Tucson Limited was a no brainer. Initially I had wanted a Genesis, but was not happy with their customer service at all and the Limited had all of the same features that I wanted in a car, except for the massage feature, which was a bummer to give up, but Hyundai's customer service is terrific. I'm very happy with my car. My only complaint would be the doors not being able to hold water bottles and the dash in front of the passenger has space that is just not useful. I don't care about this feature, but it doesn't have a glasses holder. Overall, it handles well and I love the cruise control; it maintains distance and speed automatically in such a simple fashion. Also rear heated seats are a great feature. Totally worth the price.

Safety features make car unsafe

As someone who is mostly a highway driver it’s very unsafe when you are going down the highway at highway speed and the cruise shuts off due to the driver wearing sunglasses it is incredibly unsafe. I asked the dealer if this feature could be shut off and they said no. This is my second Hyundai. I would buy another but absolutely not this car.

Tucson handles great

The car handles great, but there are a few things about the infotainment system that bothers me. I do t like having to re-set all my stuff every time the car turns on. Can’t toggle back from media to car play. Can’t close hatch from inside. Cup holders are not great. Wasted dash space on passenger side. Phone charger is directly in the sun and phone gets really hot.

New Tuscon

Everything great so far except I am not happy that nobody from Piazza has gotten back to me about my $1100 refund for the warranty on the 2021 Kona that I turned in when I bought the Tucson. Their financial person told me about it. I bought the vehicle in December and have called twice and was told someone would call me back. I am still waiting and it’s now been 5 months since the purchase.

The vehicle has a comfortable ride. The seating is spacious for driving. Overall great vehicle for the cost. The features are good as well. I would make the interface easier. Also address some the back up safety features. Have the sensor alert when someone walks behind the car and alert when you get to close to a while backing up.

2025 Hyundai Tucson Limited Hybrid

This car as many features that utilize touchscreen technology so unless you're part of the new generation or a techie you're going to have problems. Although the dashboard looks really cool (and it is!) it is very overwhelming to someone who doesn't know which thing to touch or shortcuts. I had to ask the dealer for help in confirming that a radio came with the car. It was hidden technologywise so I didn't know how to get to it. I don't want to have to read a 100 page manual to figure out how to get to the bells and whistles or even the basics of my car. I have had it now 5 months and I still don't know how to do much. I need an assistant to slowly go through each area so I can appreciate all that the car has to offer. On the flip side, I love the 360 degree cameras that assist me during all facets of driving especially backing up to alert me another vehicle is coming behind. The lane assist feature is awesome. I feel like I'm having to get gas a little more often but then the tank is much smaller than my previous car. The hybrid part of it does give me great gas mileage averaging about 38 or more mpg. The heated seats fron and back are a nice touch and especially like the heated steering wheel. The inside is definitely a luxury looking or feeling vehicle but then this is an SUV not a luxury sedan. That being said the seats are very firm more like a sport edition which I don't really care for. IT would be nice if there was a little more softness to them. They make you sit very rigid. The cargo area is very roomy which is nice for hauling things. The exterior design is very nice. Sleek lines, great looking wheels! I struggled with the manual opening of the rear cargo door as I could not find it easily. Though it was supposed to be automatic when I got behind the car. Eventually I learned how the system works (after reading the manual) and you just have to be patient. There are sensors and if you move a little left or right it won't open the door but if you patiently wait behind with the FOB close at hand it will open automatically hands free. Once I got used to it it is a nice feature when your hands are full. It took me 2 years of looking and test driving to finally make a decision. To be honest the Tucson was my second choice but my first choice was well above my price range and the ease of maintenance was also an issue. The Tucson has all the safety alerts and cameras (and then some) that I was looking for in a vehicle plus it had 95% of all the checklist items that I was looking for in a new car. To get all these items at a good price in today's market made the Hyundai Tucson Limited Hybrid the right choice for me!

Like it, don't love it.

Comfortable car. It handles well. The dash is not at all user friendly. Prettier in the front than in the back. I would like more features but that is my fault. I should have purchased a different model.
