Feel safe in the Santa Fe.

The Santa Fe handles great in snow. I love the seat warmers. The Santa Fe has a very comfortable drive. The safety features great. The cameras are helpful when backing up and changing lanes. The cargo area holds more than I thought it would.

Transmission failure

Had the 2022 Santa Fe about one year when the transmission failed. Dealer provided a loaner but it was unclear when a new replacement transmission would be available. I researched Santa Fe transmissions online. Found out that 2022 Santa Fe’s had a history on transmission failure. So, we traded it in for a 2023 Santa Fe.

Great other than radio cuts out while passenger uses I phone

The car is in great shape controls are decent, but the only issue I have is when my wife uses her iPhone while I’m driving the radio cut out other than that everything else seems good we should had more power

The black on black is a beautiful car. Mileage is great. Ride is smooth. Quiet on inside. Serious problem with communication at dealership and scheduled maintenance. Have someone that is tech savvy with you when setting up stereo system or you will become lost.

Santa Fe Premium

We were looking for a new vehicle so we started looking for good gas mileage. Our daughter owns a Hyundai so we started there. A friend of ours at church told us about his Santa Fe so we went to the dealership and test drove a Santa Fe. The salesperson told us all about the car and the special features as to the different driving modes. We love the 2022 Santa Fe premium that we bought. We love the Hyundai brand so much in 2023 we bought the Tucson. Great transportation at a good price. We will buy again.

Love the Santa Fe

We really do enjoy all the Santa fe has to offer. We have the Calligraphy edition and are very happy with all the safety and performance it offers. It's the perfect size for us and fits nearly all our requirements as a vehicle owner

My car is a Santa Fe from 2022 and in the first year they had to change all the injectors and the rear camera.

The car is fuel-saving, nice, spacious, but it gave me problems with the injectors, rear camera and when the engine turns off and turns on to save gas! From time to time the Bluetooth disconnects and the cell phone and GPS signal are lost and it does not reconnect until you turn off the car and turn on after an hour or more

Subscription Based Features Hold This Car Back

The 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe (Calligraphy Trim) is overall a great car, the subscription based features really hold this care back. Appearance: stylish and comfortable, the exterior (grill and headlights "pop") and the interior. Everything you would expect for a car in at this price point in this segment. Performance: Responsive brakes, quick acceleration (has a 2.5L Turbo), smooth handling (All-Wheel Drive). Everything you would expect for a car in at this price point in this segment. Technology: Great use of space and incorporating car cameras. Blind spot cameras show up on the diver's side gauges, and is very convenient. Camera's surrounding the car, make parking amazingly easy. Phone integration is seamless via USB cable (would have been nicer to have wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay - which is available on the lower trims...), or Bluetooth connectivity. Comfort: Everything is comfortable for the Calligraphy Trim. All seats are comfortable, front seats have heated & ventilated seats, back row has heated seats. Reason for the 2-Star: Several features become Subscription based after the trial period ends. Kinda disheartening after you spent so much money on the top of the line trim, and compared it to luxury brands at the same price point. List of features that become subscription based: SoS Emergency Assistance, Hyundai Assurance Car Care App, Maintenance Alerts, MyHundai Blue Link App, Automatic Diagnostic Trouble Code Notification, Monthly Vehicle Health Report, Service Link, Enhanced Roadside Assistance, Remote Vehicle Status, Automatic Collision Notification, Car Status Notification, On-Demand Diagnostics, Vehicle Safeguard Alerts, Geofence Alert, Remote Horn & Light, Engine Idle Notification, Stolen Vehicle Recovery, Remote Lights, Remote Door Unlock/Lock, Valet Parking Mode, Alarm Notification, Stolen Vehicle Immobilization, Remote Control Extension-Ims, Remote Start W/ Climate Control, Valet Alert, Notification Center, Speed Alert, GPS Streaming, Schedule Head Unit Software, Car Finder, Remote Seat Occupancy Alarm Notification, Alert Service, Multimedia & Navigation Updates, User Profile Backup, Secondary User Profile, Destination Search, Last Mile Guidance, Sound Hound Service, Speed Camera Information Service, Ota Update, Destination Send-To-Car, Route Guidance, Calendar Content, Weather Information Service, Picture Profile. This is called the "BlueLink" service. If you purchase a Hyundai in 2024, all of these features are completely free for the life of the vehicle through "BlueLink+". What's the difference? Nothing feature wise according to Hyundai's website. The difference in BlueLink and BlueLink+ is only how you pay for them. BlueLink+ which is standard on 2024 Hyundai models, is free forever. When these features are tied to 2022-2023 models of the same cars, these features would cost you a "low monthly fee." The fact that all of these features are locked behind a paywall is ridiculous. If it was such a "low fee," why wouldn't Hyundai just upgrade all of the BlueLink customers to BlueLink+ for being early adopters, loyal customers or as an act of good faith? Money. That "low monthly fee" adds up. At the cost of a few hundred bucks a year, Hyundai is really banking on me renewing the subscription, being annoyed and likely never buying another car from them again, than to just enable these features forever (as if I purchased the car in 2024 instead of 2022.) I've called and asked customer care if anything can be done, or if there is an upgrade path from Bluelink to Bluelink+, and they just respond with "Well, you have the trial version for another year!" like that is supposed to be some positive consolation. Remove all of these Bluelink features, and now the car is overpriced for the SUVs with comparable (or lack thereof) features. This would be the sole reason I would not recommend this vehicle to anyone I know or love.

Dealership experience was great. Issue with vehicle.

Nice looking vehicle. Only a few issues, but one a very dangerous issue, the automatic breaking. You’re going with traffic and all of a sudden the automatic breaking is engaged for no reason. Scary to say the least when you’re in traffic.

Do you want to waste time on maintenance? I bought one !

I bought a new Santa Fe 2022! With 20 thousand miles it started to cause problems and it hasn't stopped, in 30 days I've already taken it to the dealer 3 times and I've already spent 1300 on a rental car and tow truck. Incompetent people fix the car and within 5 days it has the same problem again. DON'T BUY SANTA FE

Horrible QA

I've had several issues with the SUV since I purchased it. None have been properly addressed. The dealership is either too busy, or doesn't care about the reliability or functionality of the SUV they sold to me. I was considering a second Hyundai, but I am not looking at other options for a second car.

Good vehicle but not great.

It’s a Good running car. Has some flaws that I wish I knew before I signed. Especially the passenger seat not being adjustable. Big mistake. And the transmission shifting rough. It’s something written about but there is no fix for it.

Buyer beware if you value your life

I bought a 2022 Santa Fe and almost immediately started having engine problems. The car will suddenly lose power, slow down dramatically, and stall out leaving you stranded. It even happened twice on highways. It's a terrifying feeling. Hyundai has not been able to duplicate the problem because it is totally random. All they do is clear the stored codes. I have owned many new cars and this is by far the poorest excuse for a vehicle there is. Hyundai's "Customer Care" department is a joke to deal with.

Very pleased with our purchase!

We are very happy with our purchase. If I had a complaint, it would be with the sales manager. I had paid ahead on our previous vehicle and we had 0 percent interest. The sales manager could not seem to understand this. I was told we had to accept 2.9 interest because that's the best that was offered, period. Within the month, the advertisement was for 0 percent interest. I felt sales manager was uninformed. Now the direct contact with the younger salesman was much better in that he would find out if he didn't know the answer.
