Good Gas Mileage But - Beware - It has Issues

Upgraded from 2021 Santa Fe to the 2026 Hybrid model. Comfortable ride, roomy, upscale interior with the Calligraphy model, lots of tech. But...Beware! The powertrain has issues and steering wanders and is vague. 1. Powertrain: From cold start the drivetrain shudders, shakes and vibrates - quite noticeably. Not a slight vibration but a shudder that makes one wonder and concerned that something is serious wrong under the hood. Once driven for a quarter to half mile the shudder subsides. There is also a noticeable shudder and vibration between 50 - 60 mph. Highway driving can be unpleasant under this condition! 2. Steering: The vehicle drifts to the right causing the driver to hold it to the left to keep the vehicle straight. When braking the vehicle pulls to the right - so hold on and recenter! Took it into the dealer's service department who stated the is a TSB on this issue. Supposedly the service department adjusted the steering to the specs of the TSB, but it still drifts and pulls to the right. So....I have to schedule another service visit for a vehicle with 1500 miles on the odometer! The steering is vague - meaning it "wanders" in the lane. Drifts right, then wanders after having corrected for the drift. The lane-keeping feature makes it worse with a side-to-side wander between the lane markers. Hyundai....PLEASE FIX THESE ISSUES!!! 3. Tech: The fingerprint and password features are an annoyance. While interesting at first, every time the vehicle is driven, the driver has to either place a finger on the reader and/or enter their password. Both these features have been disabled after having experienced the annoyance. I get the idea, but I just want to start the vehicle and drive without going through a security sequence. BTW....Consumer Reports got their review wrong! Or they need to retest the 2026 model! I purchased based upon their review!

Love this vehicle the safety features and the options on the limited were perfect for us. I love how the remote can move the vehicle but it would be nice if the app could do the same

Very pleased with the Santa Fe Hybrid

I purchased this car as my retirement vehicle. It is the most expensive car I have ever purchased, but I am already seeing savings at the gas pumps, and it is by far the most comfortable vehicle I’ve ever owned.

Great gas mileage, but lots of electrical issues

I just bought the hybrid version, we are really happy on that aspect, however we have had sveral.electrical issues already which makes the good things be shaded by the bad things, we hope those electrical issues gets fixed and we can enjoy tge vehicle.

Great all around vehicle

Purchased the Sante Fe in November. I loved the onboard display and infotainment center. The hybrid engine provides about 40mpg average depending on my trip. Fits two car seats comfortably with ample trunk room. Very happy with my selection.

Very dissatisfied with Santafe

I bought the brand new santafe with lot of expectations but I am very much disappointed and I have lot of concerns and problems. Wireless charging is a problem Steering control assistant is a problem Miles estimate does show correctly most of the times Blind spot assistant doesn’t work well all the time The boat is so delicate, on highway car shakes a lot And there many more problems

Nice Ride and Affordable Price Tag for a Hybrid

Great vehicle but fuel efficiency way over exaggerated

Love my 2026 Santa Fe but disappointed in the fuel prices efficiency hype. Not much better than my 2015 (fuel not a hybrid) Toyota Highlander. Lucky if I get 25 MPG on road trips

Needs a lot handling improvement

I regretted bought horrible car on high speeds. Simple like that . Needs a lot improvement on drive experience. Feels like they forgot about it and just care about technology and looks.

Great car

I sold a 2021 Lexus RX that got about 16 mpg around town. My Santa Fe has been getting 32 to 33 mpg around town. It is a smooth riding car that takes bumps better that my Lexus. The heated seats and steering wheel work perfectly.
