2026 Santa Fe Calligraphy Hybrid 4WD - Great vehicle at a good price.
People either love or hate the appearance. Personally I love it - if I wanted a dull-looking vehicle that looks like everything else on the road, there’s a bunch of others out there to choose from.
Only 6k miles at this point but no major issues past having to reset CCNC a couple of times. It does seem sometimes as if it has a hard time deciding what mode it wants to be in after you’ve paddle-braked and then accelerated - shutters sometimes. I’ve read other complaints on thst as well.
I’ve also read people complain on economy and being able to meet the window sticker numbers. Keep in mind people are not smart as a whole. Read how the EPA tests vehicles - what constitutes their highway test and then go blame them not the car. My highway driving is 75-80 so no, I’m not going to meet the numbers there. But… some of what I consider city driving is much more in line with how the EPA tests highway. My point? Have fun - drive spirited if you want to but not like a moron if you’re concerned about economy. Be mindful how much of your driving is high-speed and how high before you get angry. Me? I’ve averaged 33.5 since new. That’s a good mix of normal city and 75-80 mph highway. Days where I don’t have as much highway I’ve gotten high 30s average. Days I’ve had too much high speed highway and a lot of wind I’ve been down just below 30. All of this is metro city, not vacation, so some tank fillips I’ve averaged as high as 36, and others as low as 31. I drove a 2020 V8 Ram before the Santa Fe, and a 2018 V8 Silverado before that, so yes I’m pleased with economy regardless, but also realistic what a hybrid can do.
More wind noise than I expected.
I think they could’ve given a few more options to us for personalizing the two 12” screens. There’s a lot of information I’d like to see and can’t unless I roll thru the various menus, but between both screens abs the heads-up display… there’s a lot of redundancy in info.
I have both a work phone and a personal one. Works out nicely to have two phone chargers on the console. Unfortunately 25% of the time the sun coming in the windshield bounces off of them. Also whatever phone I have running CarPlay is more likely to overheat than charge - but I also read that is common with all phones and charging pads if you’ve got a lot in the background. But the sun bounce issue? Annoying.
Not as impressed with the Bose sound as I thought I’d be considering the overall vehicle price and number of speakers.
