Overall great vehicle. No regrets.

Easy to drive & park. Styling, safety, & tech are on point. Bose sound and sunroof on Limited give it a sporty & fun feel. A couple very minor final fit/finish issues but overall very well designed and put together well. Very happy with my purchase and comfortable on my first 2,200 mile road trip. 29 mpg with conservative driving on the highway.

Great little truck with a lot of useful innovations, well thought out to maximize its usefulness like the 1/2 way lock on the tailgate, under bed storage and molded 2x6 slot in the bed to make a shelf

Exceeded my Expectations

I have had a pu truck for most of my life as I was part of the single family housing contractors. After retiring I wanted a vehicle that gave me more mileage and settled on a KIA Soul purchased new in 2012. Having almost 140 thousand miles on this vehicle I decided to replace it with a small pick up truck as I missed that ability you have with a pu. After looking what was available and having ridden in Honda RidgeLine I tried a Hyundai Santa Cruz and really like the feeling of driving an SUV but having the exterior pu was a clincher. And the topping is I get at least 25 plus mpg and have had 32mpg on an extended trip. This is a really quiet and great riding vehicle.

Where has this truck been all my life?!?!?!?

I am thrilled with the ownership of this vehicle. I have had 4 high dollar RAM 1500 pickup trucks and had grown tired of them, especially for life in New York City. I was very intrigued by the Santa Cruz and fell in love with its styling and decided I would give it a try. Aside from some small interior design elements with the dashboard controls that I would have preferred to be different ie. the touch controls would be better as buttons or knobs and the slight flimsiness of the retractable bed cover latch the truck is awesome!!!

Cute little Cruck

They thought about the utility of this vehicle but still it could be improved without trim level upgrades such as pacing cruise control. I have 2 basic equipment vehicles and each of them have cruise control that keeps me a proper distance from the car in front.

Great little crossover truck

Multi-utility vehicle with Car MPG

Overall a great small truck with good MPG for both city and hwy mileage. Plenty of bed storage for most loads you would do with a typical home use pickup without the hit to the bank with gas mileage. Plenty of power for the hwy and off-road. The option to 4x4 lock is a pleasant feature with the part time awd. Interior is soft and form fitting to my 6'6" frame, with minimal loss to legroom in the rear. Only issue is the transmission issues with towing, not reportedly reliable.

Within a month multiple issues

Within a month I have had multiple issues.Just bought the vehicle May 2025. While driving on the highway the truck started shaking aggressively and even more so when I gave it gas. Then the engine light and crash light came on. I pulled off to a gas station, while there my backup cameras didn’t work or any other camera. Just a green screen, a week later took it to a dealership just for them to say they can’t do anything because they’re backed up and I had to keep the car with them for a three days before they could even look at it. Didn’t have the capability to do that. Now just waiting for an optimal time to take it because of work so I just have to deal with it. The shaking has stopped by the camera still goes in and out.
