Defective glass and other issues

I love all the cameras etc..the vehicle is very stylish and comfortable however, the glass is defective. The dealer replaced the windshield “as a courtesy” however the replacement is also defective. They told us too bad, and our case worker at the corporate office told us the same thing. We see this as a safety issue but Hyundai doesn’t see it as an issue at all. All the glass in the vehicle has the same issue, it “sparkles” in the sun because as safety glass it wasn’t sealed properly during lamination. Not my words, words of an auto glass company. The next issue is the clock won’t stay on the right time. It won’t stay on daylight savings time. Service is 75% of owning a vehicle experience. Hyundai service sucks so there’ll not be another one in my future!

Defective glass and other things

Kinda getting tired of telling Hyundai that the glass in the vehicle is defective. No one cares. Service is a huge part of a vehicle’s quality and Hyundai service is terrible, especially warranty and the corporate office.

Surprised Me How Quickly I Fell In Love

I didn’t mean to buy a Hyundai, but I test drove the palisade and to my surprise fell in love quite quickly. The purchase process was quite simple and the staff was very responsive to my questions.

Recall Removed Functionality

With the latest recall ‘fix’ for the folding seat debacle, Hyundai removed key features and functionality that we specifically chose this trim level for. If we wanted less features, we would have purchased a lower trim level. So now we have an overpriced vehicle with less features.

Multiple system failures

I had such high hopes for this vehicle. It's beautiful and spacious. Other than that, it's been a very unpleasant experience. Dashboard alerts for false low tire pressure. Awd disabled while driving. Front sensors and cameras not activating. Battery drain with digital key. Lack of power getting on the freeway. Rear doors not shutting properly. Auto wiper sensing doesn't work. Horrible gas mileage, 11mpg.

This car is a piece of crap

The car had around 5400 miles when the battery had to start being jumped. Now it has to be jumped every single time I try to start it

Very pleased with the vehicle overall.A few things I would like to see changed. I don’t Ike that the mirrors open out when you get close to the vehicle. Also, the bright light assist does not stay active after the vehicle is turned off.

Very Impressed!

I bought my new Palisade Calligraphy SUV about 5 months ago. One of the things I kept saying to my husband was, "This car HAD to be designed by a woman!" It has cameras almost everywhere. The side mirrors adjust downward when backing up to see low profile items beside the car, such as animals and children. I love that the turn signals do more than just indicate you are about to change lanes. They also show you (on the instrument panel in front of you) what is in the lane beside and behind you. What a wonderful idea! Instead of looking over your shoulder to make sure the lane is clear, you simply take a quick look at your instrument panel. It's also a very ingenious way of encouraging people to use their turn signals. The seats contour to your body better than any other that I have been in. I recently had to have gallbladder surgery. My right side was still tender from the surgery when I first started driving again. I was able to adjust my seat so that it literally wrapped around my back and braced both sides. The instrument panel gives you a varies of display options. I prefer to see my current speed, along with the posted speed and any warning signs (school zone, curve ahead, street crossing, etc.). The side mirrors, of course, light up when a vehicle enters your blind spot. When backing up, not only will the car warn you audibly about objects behind you, but you will also feel vibrations in the steering wheel. The car has a very smooth ride and plenty of get-up-and-go when you need it. The center console has 2 drink holders, a charging pad for your smart phone, and an ultraviolet sanitizing compartment. Now I have to admit, I knew a lot of people during COVID that were scared to death of getting sick and the UV sanitizing compartment may have been a brainchild of those COVID years. I don't use it to sanitize my personal belongings, but I do use it as a storage cubby, and it works just fine for that, too. The 2nd row captain's chairs have plenty to space in between to get to and from the 3rd row bench seat. I usually leave the 3rd row seat folded down to allow for plenty of room for groceries and whatever I might be carrying in the back. But it sure is nice to have the extra seating when the family gets together and we go somewhere in the car. Now, for what is probably MY FAVORITE thing to use...the parking cameras. I use those cameras almost every time I pull into a parking space. It shows an overhead view of the car, the parking lines, and anything around the car. I can tell exactly how far up to pull to be in my space. There are many other bells and whistles on this car that will entice your senses. I've been driving for over 50 years now and of all the vehicles I've ever driven, this one is at the top of my list!
