Smooth, Quiet, Efficient Vehicle
Overall this is a great vehicle. This will be my fourth Hyundai/Kia vehicle as I always find Hyundai and Kia to offer the best value. I enjoy the novel styling of the Palisade, inside and out, as it doesn’t look like any other vehicle on the road. I like that the interior still has real buttons for most functions instead of everything on the touch screen. I like that it is offered in real exterior colors like green and blue, instead of 10 shades of grey. The brown interior is gorgeous. I like the balance of power and efficiency. It’s quicker than several other gas only 3 rows but is also more efficient. I don’t like how Toyota splits the difference with the Grand Highlander. You either get a more efficient but too slow hybrid or the max hybrid that is quick but not much more efficient that regular gas competitors. I really appreciate the luxury features like the massage seat, the relaxation front seats, and power, heated, ventilated second row seats. My suggestions for improvement are to offer an ultimate package. I wish both front seats and the 2 captain chairs had the FULL relaxation function offered in S Korea. All 4 seats with heating, cooling, leg rests, and massage. It’s offered on the ioniq 9, why not the Palisade? It has also been frustrating that the power third row function has been ruined by requiring me to hold the buttons to make them move. If I have to hold the button I’d rather just have a manual release. The whole value of the power function to the second and third row is that I can tap the button and it will do it all for me. Or move them from the control screen. All that was removed after that sad accident. Every other company still offers automated seat function with proper force feedback. I hope Hyundai fixes this and updates my Palisade so I get back the function I was promised when I bought it. I also wish the hybrid had the same tow rating as the gas version. The hybrid is a far better powertrain but I don’t like having to give up some tow capacity.
