Beautiful ride. Great value for the money.

Purchased this vehicle sight unseen from the docks, based on what the dealership sales reps information on what the vehicle included and misinformation due to poor training. Some regrets on that, but not enough to change my mind on the overall vehicle.

The most sophisticated vehicle we have ever owned

The car meets or exceeds every benchmark for a luxury vehicle in styling and comfort. Fuel saving economy and afforability are also a huge plus.

Bad air flap problem

Have had an air flap problem since the car was brand new and am quite frustrated. It had been well over a month, and still no part. The motor runs even after the car is off. I am very concerned that it is wearing my battery out.

Fantastic Vehicle

This vehicle hits everything that I was hoping for. So glad we chose it over a minivan. There are only 3 minor things that I wish would be adjusted, but these are very minor things.

Like the car a lot. Only 2 things that need attention. 1-The heater for feet area is very lacking when sharing with other areas of car, such as windshield or straight out when cold. Feet are definitely cold if controls are not just on floor setting. 2-The map on the home screen is always in the dark or night mode. No one can get it to change to daylight or light display. This makes the map useless during daylight hours. Needs a software update at the least.

I do love the Hyundai Palisade! When they came out with the hybrid version, I knew I had to have it. I love it but hate the battery. If not driven EVERY SINGLE DAY, it dies. I have had to turn off Passive Entry on my phone, disable Dashcam, and Welcome Upon Approach. I did not drive it for 2 days, my off days from work, and it was dead as a door nail! Why have all these wonderful features if the battery can't handle it? Now I have to remember to turn on the dash am feature when I drive and turn it off when I park. I am on my second battery replacement and still no resolution. I love everything about the Palisade except this battery issue.

Best Car I’ve Owned

This is the dream car for any mom. It is spacious, has all the features for when your hands are full and your patience is thin. And when the kids aren’t around, it is QUIET. Enjoy peace and near silence while driving a luxury ride. Or enjoy driving a bus that can be full of either kids or adults, all whom have plenty of space.

Luxury feel for the value

We love it but two issues. Right now we believe were not getting the MPG that is quoted. Right now we average a little more than 24 mpg and we already had a wiring issue that were still waiting for parts to get fixed.

Comfortable, stylish, some software flaws.

If you slapped a Genesis sticker on the Calligraphy edition, I wouldn't question it. You get a lot for you money... it is loaded with features. The interior is beautiful, but kind of weird for storage - not bad, just weird. The exterior looks like a much more expensive brand. It's quiet, the ride is "floaty", but doesn't roll in corners like other SUVs, very nice, very smooth. I use the highway driving assist all the time, and while not as perfect as some cars, it is better than most and even has some features they lack, like lane change assist (which works well, but can be pretty aggressive). While there are a few poorly placed buttons, and the 2nd row seat takes forever to move for 3rd row passengers, the only real complaints I have are software issues. One thing I didn't realize when I bought it is that the car does not do automatic parking. It has all the equipment needed to do it, it just lacks the softtware... fair warning. If Android Auto disconnects while driving, there's no way to reconnect it without a cable (every other car I've had with AA just reconnects automatically) so keep a cable in the car. If you leave a door or the liftgate open in your garage overnight, the car will discharge and need to be jumped the next day. You can't leave the car on and lock the door (to go into a store on a winter day, for example). And here's a nitpick - If you leave the car running, you can't lock it (dumb), you can only turn it off, lock the door and remote start it. The flaws are effectively all software gaps that could be fixed. But physically, the Hyundai engineers deserve a lot of credit. A note - I am averaging around 26 mpg combined gas mileage. About 25 on the highway, 30ish in town. I drive conservatively.

Too many issues and service is terrible at my local dealership!

I was SO EXCITED to purchase this vehicle! I wish I had NOT now. TOO MANY SERVICE issues for a brand-new car. Battery sensor needed replaced. Motor and wiring harness for the Air Flap (backordered until who knows when) is no longer functioning and alerting all of the time. SPEAKING of alerting of the time: the cruise control system is completely broken. No matter what eyewear (or NONE at all) and no matter where I sit the cruise control alerts every few minutes that I need to pay attention or move the wheel. I dart eyes everywhere, wiggle the wheel and it STILL disengages on me. I HATE THIS!!! It is BROKEN! I am resorting to creating hours of video footage where I move the seat to every possible position, change eyewear, open and close the sunroof (both) and have other people drive with the same results to PROVE to my terrible dealership (service not sales) to ACTUALLY LISTEN TO ME. They have ONE service writer (and he is called the service manager!). No loaner vehicles (they "just signed up for this and it has not been approved yet). Just how am I supposed to trust a SERVICE DEPARTMENT with ONE person? I have no idea how many mechanics... because you drop your car off at the sales lot. This is not the experience I was signing up for. I have had four KIA vehicles.. and they were great. This is awful! I thought I was getting a "better than KIA experience" since Hyundai is supposed to be the premium of the two. No WAY I will buy a Genesis (on my list) now! I COULD NOT BE MORE UNHAPPY. There is a recorded shimmy (service didn't fix it, just said they noticed it ALSO (?!?!) The keyfob is as far from premium as is possible! It is a light weight, ugly piece of garbage that I am embarrassed to be seen with. The emergency key is not even built into the fob! You cannot manually adjust the brake regen (as I was expecting to have!) as well. If the opportunity presents, and I have the ability to Lemmon law this thing... I will do it without hesitation! Such a shame! I really thought this would be a great car! Interior is great. Looks pretty good too! Dealership service needs to be completely fixed from the ground up! There is no excuse for shoestring budgeting! The owning dealership is Ford, Mercedes, Lincoln, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Mazda, Volvo, Jaguar, and Land Rover... and Hyundai has a single person?! I have an excellent idea where their priorities are, and I am not part of their respected business, that is clear.

Almost there

Great vehicle overall. Awesome interior. Striking exterior, not for everyone but with a few tweaks (e.g. minimize those front lights a bit) it would be perfect. Noisy 4 cylinder (disappointingly so but I have come from an EV so this might be a little unfair) and so so economy (hoping this is due to the cold weather). A 'Night" addition with a power telescopic steering wheel (both glaring misses) would be the icing on the cake. New to the brand but would purchase again if these irritants are resolved.

Issues with Air-Flap

Still have a check engine light on my dashboard due to an air flap issue. Took to dealer 3 times already and it hasnt been fixed. Still dealing with Hyundai Customer Service and the dealership regarding this issue.

Good Decision

I traded in a gas-engine Palisade Calligraphy for the hybrid and am very happy with my new ride. I've had it two and a half months and have filled the gas tank once. It seems more sturdily built than my previous vehicle (though that one was build during COVID so that might have been why it was less well-made) and though I like the exterior less than the old one and have struggled a bit to get the seat and headrest set just right, it's otherwise a joy to drive. The safety and technology features are sweet and the controls are mostly very straightforward and intuitive (things like finding the clock setting are simple, unlike other vehicle makes I've had). So far I feel like I've made the right decision and I'm hoping that feeling will last.

One month review

Overall I like the Palisade. I do have one issue. I have never had a new vehicle that had a Engine Check Light come on within 1 month. It is for the front air flap not operating properly. I am still waiting for the fix after 2 weeks.
