Former Chevy Traverse High Country owner

My previous car was Chevy Traverse High Country. Compared to Chevy, Palisade has superior build quality. I like the interior styling too, and the brown leather looks very cool (my Chevy also had brown leather, but not the plastic). I like the tech, it's definitely better (although my Chevy was top of the line). Overall, I like the car very much. But! There are ways that my Chevy was superior: 1. I could go to the next track in Spotify by pressing "up" button. In Palisade "up" goes back, and "down" goes forward. I see the logic, but pushing up on the toggle is easier than pushing down, and we can agree that changing tracks to the next one is way more frequent. PLEASE PROVIDE a way to change the reverse the direction, so pressing "up" goes to the next track. 2. Paddle shifters are useless to me. PLEASE PROVIDE a way to assign changing tracks to them, or some other useful function. 3. Why there is no way to make AC to blow just up? I can use defroster switch for that, but that is backwards. PLEASE ADD one more option to "flow direction" toggle - it should allow selecting "up" only (not together with "down" as it does now - my feet are freezing and I don't like that). 5. The fancy maroon colors should be lighter. I have a green car, but most of the time it looks black, and I see green only occasionally when the car is under direct sunlight. The BIGGEST complaint so far: on some roads with small periodic imperfections (thing seams, or grooves) the car starts bouncing pretty hard. It gets really uncomfortable, you feel like you're driving over a washing board. I NEVER had this happen in my Chevy. SLIGHTLY SMALLER gripe - why autosteering is turning on when adaptive cruise is enabled? I don't want autosteering, I don't trust it, and when it turns off there is no sound. Right now I have to disable it (pressing a button) every time I turn on adaptive cruise. PLEASE PROVIDE A WAY to disable autosteering for good. A single build quality gripe - in my car, the dashboard in the passenger half has a weird crease, which is pretty long. It's not super visible unless you're in the passenger seat, but it's there, and you can feel in the plastic. See pictures of it. If there is an option to fix, I'd like to do that.

Loving the Palisade overall

I really like our Palisade so far. It is comfortable, has a lot of fancy features I’ve never had before. I only have two negatives: the big one is I can’t use the remote start on my phone bc it drains the battery. This is the biggest feature I want to use so that is disappointing. I’m hoping for a fix for that. Minnesota is cold!! The other is the design of the phone UV light. I’m unable to use it bc I use the compartment for storage. I’d use it if it were at the top of the compartment, but i rather have storage. Otherwise, I am loving the car!

Still early to provide an accurate review. No help from Hyundai or dealership with shattered sunroof that occurred at 300 miles. Believe it was a manufacturer or shipping issue but already went into the details with Hyundai. Just always got the same company canned answer. Left a bad taste with the Hyundai leadership. Might recommend Kai to others in the future due to this situation. I have had numerous people ask me about my vehicle. Poor PR decision made by Hyundai and reached out to BBB and National Transportation Board which appeared to be my only recourse.

this vehicle has been stellar! the smooth ride is a real highlight. next up would be the embedded technology (cameras, assist features, magsafe charging and CarPlay)

I brought a lemon

I purchased a brand-new Hyundai, and less than ten days later experienced a serious safety issue when the entire dashboard and infotainment system went completely black while driving. The Hyundai dealership could not recreate the problem and told me “no issue found,” despite the obvious risk. Less than a month later, the check engine light came on, and my vehicle sat in their service department for over a month waiting on a back-ordered part. I understand repairs can take time, but the lack of urgency, extended loss of use, and absence of meaningful support or compensation on a brand-new vehicle has been extremely disappointing. This experience has raised serious concerns about reliability, customer care, and how warranty issues are handled.

Less than great gas mileage

Love that vehicle. Not thrilled about th gas mileage nothing close to 30mpg. Also the hidden cover that goes over the keyhole on the drivers door will not stay in place and the dealership told it is a non warrantied $400 fix .i paid extra for a bumper to bumper warranty for what? Thinking I should sell it now before I hit 6k miles

2026 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy HEV

We have over 6000 miles on the vehicle so far with no issues. It is very comfortable on long trips especially with the lane centering and following features. Seats are very comfortable, but I would prefer the thigh extension over the current "lounge chair" feature. Also, the steering wheel adjustment should be electric, not manual and the easy in and out should move the driver's seat back fully.

The best choice I could have made

The ride is smooth, quiet, comfortable and it is incredibly quick for its size. I am very pleased and the more I drive it the more I like it.
