Excellent, very comfortable, beautiful car

I love my new Kona, it is very comfortable, very big, bigger than it looks. I love the way it looks. I enjoy the big, double screen and all the safety features. The A/C system could be better; achieving the perfect temperature inside is hard. I also miss the A/C or ventilator in the back seat.

Great All-Purpose Car

Good size compact SUV. Easy getting around and parking in the city, enough room for everyone but can quickly run out of trunk space. Handles weather conditions well, good mileage and excellent tech integration.

Haven’t had it long, but like the safety features and interior space. Like exterior styling. Easy to drive. Still learning all of the features and controls. Overall am quite pleased with the vehicle and its performance.

Great to Return to Hyundai!

I've had 5 Elantras over the years and put a ton of miles on them. Even though I'm retired now, I'm keeping the '17 Elantra LTD I have, as it's been my absolute favorite car. In 2019, we leased a Kona, which we liked, but it was too small for our use. We shifted to a Honda HR-V and was highly disappointed by it's lack of cabin storage, an uncomfortable "hump" in front of the drivers seat, the Android entertainment system was challenging to use, a higher than necessary console with a lack of cup holders in the rear seat, no blind spot warnings, and several other issues. The only feature we liked was the fold-up rear seats, which provided cargo space. We just returned to Hyundai for a Kona as our primary vehicle after having the Honda HR-V. Although the Honda ran fine, it was my least favorite car I've ever had. After shopping around, we decided to return to a Hyundai Kona, as it was larger, more solid, and included many cabin features that add to the general comfort and our safety. More front and rear storage room, better access to things being stored there by the driver, hi-tech dash and controls, entertainment system, higher view of the roadway, outside lighting brighter, comfortable seats, heater, and air conditioning controls easier to adjust, cruise control works great along with driving guidance features that add to the joy of driving the car. After leasing our primary vehicles for the last six years, we decided to purchase our Kona, as we believe it will meet our needs for many years to come.

Good value car for price

Vehicle needs more comfort in front seats..good gas mileage..back wiper blade needs 2 wipers to clean back window. Maps on dash does not always take you to correct address. Car is reasonably priced for value.

Excellent Choice

The car is very comfortable and easy to drive. I really like the adjustable one-pedal settings. It's easy to change and very intuitive. The entertainment system works great and the screen is excellent.

3 complaints in comparison to my same 2022 model

3 COMPLAINTS - in comparison to my former 2022 Kona EV: HOME SCREEN VIEW MAP - on 2025 it is so dark during the day as to be almost not readable (see pic); whereas on the 2022 Home screen view map, the map was easily visible during the day. Have design engineers make the 2025 map visible during the day. 2025 AUTO HEADLIGHT SENSOR IS TOO SENSITIVE - even in bright overcast day, the headlights are on. I literally have to turn OFF to conserve batteries. This is not efficient and cuts into driving range. Have design engineers make 2025 headlight sensor less sensitive so one can leave setting on AUTO - as was case with 2022. Many complaints like this on OWNERS' FORUM!! SUN ROOF ISSUE - on 2022 I could tilt the sun roof for flow thru ventilation even on days when temps were in low 80s 'F°'and manually almost close the solid movable ceiling panel, thus getting great ventilation with no solar heat gain AND NOT having to use AC. On 2025, the only way to tilt to sun roof for more flow thru ventilation is to have the solid movable ceiling panel FULLY OPEN, thus exposing interior of car to great solar heat gain. Thus, I am using AC more often, further burdening the battery and decreasing my driving range. Have design engineers make change to the LIMITED model back to manually adjusting the solid movable ceiling panel to allow good flow thru ventilation and no solar gain. ADDITIONAL ISSUE - Factory 12 battery was bad and replaced at 600 miles

Beautiful car, overpriced

We like this car very much. It is roomy, has plenty of great tech, is quiet and quiet peppy. We like the color and design. We are still getting used to the Drive/Rear/Park selector by the steering. Our other car has that in the floor, so switching cars can be a bit confusing. Driving the Kona is a pleasure. We wish the price was a bit lower. While we have only good things to say about the car, our experience with the dealership was horrible.

My 2025 Hyundai Kona

This car exceeded my expectations - a great value for the price. I do need to make some adjustments to the camera feature, though - it is much too sensitive. Also, I keep turning on the hazard lights when try to adjust other settings. I would prefer it to be in a different place, so I don't keep hitting it by mistake.

great small vehicle, comfortable and easy to drive. safety features are good, lets you know if cars are approaching. Especially good is rear braking and stopping to prevent backing into another car or person.

Comfy, packs some power ,love driving it. Handles well

It's a smooth ride, noise cancelling interior is nice, it has functionality and power. I enjoy driving this vehicle. Nice safety features especially blind spot detection. Stellar back up cam. Friends are jealous.

Love!!!

His name is Virgil. He drives on the open road extremely well. I feel safe driving in many different types of weather. The most talked about feature (other than the color) is the little shelf on the passenger side!

Very comfortable

I love my Kona. 2 things that would improve it is a trunk latch inside. It is loud on the road so I wish it was quieter. We drove it from North Carolina to Salt lake City Utah. It did great, like I said just wish it was quieter on the road. I LOVE my heated seats. I LOVE the back up camera., the safety mirrors.

Great car but bad gas mileage

I love everything about this car except the gas mileage. I drive mostly highway everyday to work and back and it has several thousand miles on it now so it's no longer breaking in, but it only gets an average of 25 mpg in my AWD version. Less than ideal for someone who drives 35 minutes each way to work everyday I'm filling this thing up every week. That being said it comes with a lot of cool features though. The snow mode, sport mode, and the hold button you can use in drive thrus is fun. The entertainment system on this is fantastic too. My other small complaint is it's not a very smooth ride in regards to bumps you feel all of them and it's quite bouncy as well.

This is a great-sized SUV with a modern look, and it has excellent gas mileage. The ride is smooth, and the quiet cabin is a definite plus. The inside is very roomy, and there is a lot of cargo space.

Fine now, but started off very disappointed

2nd day after purchasing, engine overheating light comes on (had to bring car in for servicing. 2 weeks later, car stalls out on freeway (no power) in dangerous LA rush hour traffic (loose battery cable). How does that happen with a brand new car that supposedly passes inspection before releasing it to the public for sale???

Very poor

I have less than 2k miles on my car and it has been back at the dealership twice and it currently has been at the shop for two weeks waiting on a part. I do not want the car. You should do the right thing and give me my down payment back and take the car back.
