Given what I value (see title above) this new generation of Kona is my absolute top choice. I was already very satisfied with my Kia Soul, but wanted a touch more in size, more SUV-like in form, but got so much more! The drive train --engine/transmission-- is phenomenal, Hyundai has mastered the EVT technology, finally one I prefer over any automatic transmission configuration: it is crazy responsive and smooth, offering all the power I need with amazing economy. My 2 favorite qualities though are: (1) the interior, the view and 'feel' in the driver's seat. There isn't another car at any price that matches the interior aesthetic for my taste; and, (2) the amount, type and execution of technology. This was a plus in my Kia, but has been well-surpassed in so much attention to detail in functionality.

Wow

It took me a few months of looking and analyzing many different makes and models before narrowing it down between this and the Subaru Crosstrek. My Kona has a better warranty, better transmission, more comfortable and the interior is more aesthetically pleasing. The 1.6 L turbo has plenty of power. It is very smooth and quiet. Steering reacts quick and smooth. Steering wheel play is non existent. Speaking of quiet, road noise is very minimal. For a vehicle at this price point in today’s economy I could not be happier with my Kona Limited. I recommended this to my father. He stuck with Hyundai but got a Tucson instead for a little more room and the larger engine. Honestly you cannot go wrong with either vehicle.

Looks cool, feels like it was thrown together

Interior features aren't thought out well. My new 2025, is already having issues with inside air automatically switching on, now a sound ia coming from the back end of car, which I will have to take it on for.

It takes a few seconds to accelerate and whenever the air is on there’s a sound coming from the dashboard. Otherwise I like the color and some of the features afforded. Would recommend to others to purchase

Body domain module

Bought Kona early December. Took a trip from New Albany, Ms to Albuquerque, NM (app 1500 miles). Body domain module had an internal problem. Delayed my return home 2 weeks so not only could I not return home, I was stuck on vacation without a car. Issue was fixed and no more problems.

great lil car so far. Still lots of features I don't know about.

I cant give a long review because I haven't had time to spend driving it to form an exhaustive opinion. So far I enjoy driving it and learning about the technology that's in it and It surprises me with new things every time I drive it.

My 1st suv, and I love it.

The ride is smooth and nice and roomy. Everything is at your finger tips. I enjoy my car. Everyone that knows me loves the car style. One person brought one and the next week went back and purchase one for this wife.
