This Car is Awesome

I honestly can’t think of anything this car doesn’t do well. If I had to complain, it would be the rear hatch rattling and a few other electronic bugs that, fortunately, I haven’t had issues on like others. Overall though, this car is a rocket ship, handles awesome, is comfortable, practical, efficient, and just does everything well, including being faster than 99.9% of everything else on the road. One other recommendation I’d give is the sounds that came with the car - they sound too cartoony, the choices are minimal, and after owning the vehicle for a year there have been zero over the air updates for it.

Not a sports Car

This is a powerful SUV, not a sports car - despite all the marketing hype. Although it has a ton of HP, handling and the car are both too heavy. I would prefer a smaller, lighter EV, even if it had alot less power.

Great but flawed

ICCU issues need a permanent fix. Walking away from the car should cause the doors to lock, it is unacceptable not to have such a basic feature on an EV in 2025. You should be able to restart the car and keep it in N-pedal, very annoying to have to hit the paddle every time I get in the car and again after I back out of my garage. Finally, OTAs are completely worthless, there are no meaningful changes and they come 1-2 times per year. You guys can do better!

N is so good that I had to come back.

I had a Veloster N brand new in 2020. I absolutely loved it and modded it to the point of becoming known online around the world and renowned as one of the best VN builds ever. I sold it for an M2, my dream car along with my late friends. I bought it in an effort to honor him and then transitioned to the offroad world and built a Colorado ZR2. Sponsored by 10+ different companies, it also became known around the world. I was itching to get back into a sports car though... I wanted something large enough to not make me miss the trucks space, I wanted something fast enough to not make me miss my M car and I wanted something nimble enough to not make me miss my VN. This car can literally do ANYTHING. I cannot oversell how good this car is at being a swiss army knife of a car and I love it. I really hope you guys read this and take a look at mine, hoping to have the best looking I5N in the world within a few months. @ghost.5n The only issue I see is the ICCU issue which I really wish Hyundai would do a better job at addressing. There are so little issues with these cars that if Hyundai addressed the ICCU issue it would look amazing for them and nobody would be eerie about buying them. It is ALL the talk on the forums, luckily the car is good enough for everyone to be fine with it. Thank you guys for keeping N growing! I have a framed print of it being the '24 EV of the year.

Great car with a few problems

After the latest OTAU Android Auto stopped working. When temperatures fall into the 40s, the front steering starts rubbing on the sidewalls at full lock on the steering wheel. Front seats are to narrow for fat people.

Too bad this is a 1 year production model

The 5N is an achievement in performance and pleasure to drive. Acceleration and handling is superior to cars costing significantly more. My 5N has been flawless. No software issues or mechanical issues with 14k miles.i wish hyundai would continue production oh the Ioniq 5N.

Great Performance EV

It's very good. But, it should have been better.

The Ioniq 5 N checked a lot of the boxes that I had for my next car. It looks great! The performance is undeniable. And, it's quite practical for everyday life. The issue that I have with the car is: it doesn't appear that Hyundai acted to resolve several problem areas that customers have complained about for years before I got the car. One example is the rattling rear hatch. It's so loud that passengers have even asked "what is that". The 12 volt battery went dead less than 12 months after I got it. And, I am not confident enough in the car to take it on any trips. Due to a lurking question that is always in the back of my mind: is the ICCU about to go out? Having to have my 10 month old car towed to the dealership when it wouldn't start (dead 12 volt) didn't help to improve my confidence level in that regard. If Hyundai had fully resolved these types of issues before releasing the 5 N it would be pretty much the perfect car for me. And, why does this car not have a HUD?

Actually almost perfect for my needs

My near ideal blend of performance and practicality. Satisfies my need for performance and my wife's desire to ride in a roomy, comfortable car. The car's performance is so effortless yet somehow so exciting it's otherworldly. I also appreciate that you can easily set and accept performance modes and custom modes without digging deep into the menu. In terms of practicality, I have a 2 year old and another one soon on the way, and the car more easily accepts rotating car seats, never mind a rear facing infant seat, and the trunk can fit a wagon to carry both of them. With that said, I do have a few nits to pick with the car, especially the US spec. I am quite disappointed that the US spec doesn't come with HUD and rear side window sunshades. I could live without the panoramic glass roof that is in other markets, but the first two are sorely missed. Also, while I do appreciate how quickly it charges, I do wish that it had about 20% greater range. That would provide a lot more flexibility when it comes to trip planning. And while I am okay with manual seats, and I do find the seats fantastically supportive and comfortable, I do wish that the front of the seat bottom would go down a bit lower. Lastly, the car has developed creaks coming to near stops or on full lock turns at near stops as if the bushings have completely dried out. Its quite disconcerting, and I wonder if that is due to me buying a car that was manufactured 5+ months prior.
