Great luxury SUV with beautiful design and features

We bought a 2025 GV80 as our family vehicle and so far (4,000 miles later) we have no complaints whatsoever. It has plenty of space, loads of luxury and beautiful design that people appreciate and compliment all the time. Love this car

The user profile configuration just doesn't work

We have two drivers, my wife and I, where we have two drastically different seating and mirror positions. In our prior vehicle we had two settings, one for me, one for my wife. Before we would enter the car we could hit the setting button on whoever was driving (1 or 2 on the door) and everything would be setup at that moment before entering the car. With the profile setup on the Genesis the person has to actually sit in the car, start it up and then change profiles. Terrible design as I can barely get into the vehicle if my wife has her prior settings, and no means to change it. About the widgets - I do like the Sports widget but you have to be kidding me that there is no NFL or college football that can be selected. I currently just have baseball but all the other sports I can do without. Football is king in the USA, please add football to the list. One can easily see that a foreigner made up the list of sports.

Faulty tires

I was told my tires were buckling due to my car being out of alignment when the only people who have ever worked on my car is Genesis they would not give me paperwork proving that my car was out of alignment, nor did they offer to call the tire manufacturer to switch out my tires or help in anyway they never rectified the situation and followed a formal complaint with Genesis corporate never heard anything back, but my car is only a year old and 6000 miles. I was told my tires are buckling. I have never hit a bump. I've never hit a curb. I've never done anything to make my tires go out of alignment. They did have to replace a piece by one of my tires. I don't know if it was the tire rod or the shop but at that time they never checked to see if my car was out of alignment either so now I have to spend over $1000 on your tires which I should not have. I've had multiple other little things go wrong that have been fixed after getting in Genesis corporate involved because Genesis of Conway has treated me absolutely terrible.

Review

Great vehicle. Day after we bought it the dealer lowered the price almost $5K. :-( Less than 500 miles and I’m getting notifications that something is wrong with the headlights and needs to go to the dealer.

The key fob is a terrible design on 2025 GV80

The only thing I don’t like about my Genesis is the key fob. The buttons are so small on the sides of the fob that it makes it difficult to select the options.. wish they were made on the front like the older ones. Also the exterior is ready for a redesign. If not for these reasons I would give it 5 stars. This is my 5th one!

Green GV80

Overall I love the vehicle but there are two things about it that are really not good. The tacky creamy gray recycled paper around the dash and the forward warning system with no override.

Things I don't like

Only 3 things bother me 1. The camera that makes sure my eyes are on the road in auto drive assist mode can't see through sunglasses. 2 The take a break alert can't be turned off and pings all the time and 3. The stop and restart engine should be programable shut off permanently
