Does not live up to its rating
The GV 70 is a very attractive automobile, inside and out. However, the vehicle does not deserve the ratings. It receives in early experience with it. First of all, remarkably, the GV 70 does not have wireless connectivity. Inexcusable for a $56,000 automobile in 2024. Secondly, the cable connector is awkward to access. Thirdly, the vehicle’s electronics are not necessarily intuitive, and in some cases difficult to use. Both the front passenger and rear seat behind the driver rattle when driving on uneven pavement.
Above all, I have had the worst imaginable experience with the dealership from which I leased this vehicle—Scottsdale Earnhardt Genesis. Inexplicably, 35 days into my 36 month lease, Genesis finance does still not have an account number for us. It is therefore impossible to make payment due. I have tried to rectify this bizarre problem On more than three dozen occasions, using text, telephone, email, and visits to the dealership. I have also sought to get the account number on-line and by contacting Genesis finance. As of this morning, there is still no record of our lease in the genesis finance system. Finally, the dealership has not been in touch with me for seven days now, although both of the sales person and general manager are acutely aware of the issue.
Having driven a Genesis G 80 for three years, I decided to lease another Genesis vehicle. Unfortunately, the GV 70 disappoints me. And the dealership has created a nightmarish customer experience for me.
