Regret Buying

This is the most uncomfortable car I’ve ever owned. The seats are so hard that I can’t wait to get out of it. I had to buy a foam cushion in order to travel just 2 hours to see our kids. This issue alone, is enough to make me look forward to the day we can get rid of it. The car’s battery also died without cause. We parked the car in the garage and the next morning the battery was dead. It had to be trailered back to the dealership. They put a battery charger on it overnight We were told they couldn’t find anything wrong and that 99% of the time this happens it’s user error. We got it home and the next morning it was dead again. It had to be trailered a second time back to the dealership (approx. 45 miles). They had the car over a week. Multiple technicians, including a technician brought in by the company, tried to figure out the problem. Unfortunately, they did not. We were told there was something that was causing the computer to continue running after the car was shut off but they couldn’t figure out what was causing it. They finally took the battery out and put it back in and the car kept a charge after that. Concerning that we have a vehicle that the battery can be drained, at no fault of ours, and could possibly leave us stranded. The controls on the dash are also not well placed or easy to use. Overall, I’m so disappointed in this car.

Love my GV70

When I was shopping for cars, I knew I wanted an SUV, not a very big one. I came across the GV70 and it was perfect. Everyone at Coastal and Cocoa Hyundai were awesome and they continue to be.

‘24 GV70

Overall the GV70 is amazing. I have the 2.5 engine and it picks up speed when I need it. Technology is great. It’s very comfortable. I dislike how sensitive the brakes are and I wish there was more leg room for backseat.

Luxury and Performance Shine, But Quality Details Need Improvement

I've owned my 2024 Genesis GV70 long enough to appreciate what it does well and where it falls short. The vehicle is comfortable, quiet, stylish, and enjoyable to drive, with a premium interior that rivals much more expensive luxury SUVs. Performance is strong, the technology is impressive, and it receives compliments everywhere I go. However, several quality issues keep it from being a perfect vehicle. I've experienced moisture forming inside exterior light assemblies, exterior trim fading much sooner than expected, and the wireless phone charger is one of the worst designs I've used. The charging pad is difficult to reach, easy to forget your phone is there, and extremely finicky about actually charging. For a luxury vehicle, these are details that Genesis should have gotten right. Overall I'm very happy with the GV70 and would recommend it, but Genesis needs to improve long-term quality control and pay more attention to the small details that owners deal with every day.

Blown Away & In Love

I wasn't even aware of Genesis when I needed to find a replacement car after my previous vehicle was totaled. Granted, I hadn't looked for a new car in a while. When I started my research, Genesis consistently rose to the top with both industry/trade and consumer reviews. And when I test drove, I was blown away. I anticipated being loyal to the brand of my previous car as I absolutely loved it, but they had not kept up on tech/features & benefits like the GV70 offered, especially at the price point. I've had the car for 2.5 years now and still absolutely love it. Highly recommend checking one out!

Many things not liked about the vehicle

Difficult to reach the large display, radio does not show the song or artist, car does not follow the key for the driver, Nav screen functions are confusing and take you attention away from the road, seats in entry mode would crush the rear passengers legs, message about hands on wheel comes up all the time even when hands are both ON the wheel which takes attention away from from the road, remote starting the vehicle does not start the heated seats, radio station sometimes changes without touching the control, once the steering wheel retracted to the furthest point while driving on a highway. Plus other things too numerous to list.

A fun car to drive. Many safety and comfort features although the driver assist feature is poor and shuts off without warning at turns and lightly marked traffic lines. Love the heated and air conditioned seats.
