Genesis' mantra of treating a customer as an "honored guest" is false!
Below average for the price and the dealership experience drags the overall rating down. The Genesis "philosophy" of treating customers like an "honored guest" is false - worse dealership experiences ever! The dealership didn't pay off my trade in for over 30 days and it caused my credit to get dinged and they didn't even offer to give me a free oil change or anything for harming me. Terrible experience. When I went to pick the car back up after a check engine light warning in the first 1000 miles, a dealership employee ran and screamed at me like an animal because the person who dropped me off pulled onto the lot behind someone that was getting in their car to leave. It was awful, I complained, nothing happened. It's not my fault the dealership has nowhere to park and is a mess. I told the service manager (who witnessed the attack) and called the dealership manager, and no action was taken. The service manager told me he would tell the dealership manager, but he did not. The attacking employee was not disciplined. I was treated horribly from the start, the sales person was disrespectful and made my wife sit in the back on the test drive - what is that? After about 4000 miles the car is a major disappointment, and the electronics are glitchy. The engine malfunctioned in the first 1000 miles. The auto door unlock doesn't work properly. The fuel door release never works properly. The lane keep feature is actually dangerous.
