Genesis Delivers on Comfort, Falls Short on ICCU Reliability

I love my Genesis — it offers a luxurious, comfortable ride with impressive performance and design. However, reliability is a concern, particularly with the ICCU (Integrated Charging Control Unit), which seems to be a recurring issue for this vehicle. Electric Gv70

This vehicle is extremely nice. There are a couple quirks that I am disappointed with there is not heated steering wheel. I would expect a vehicle at this price the heated steering wheel would be standard which online it does say that it is so I’m not sure why it is not. The windshield seems to not be situated properly when the ac is on in the summer there is a very loud crack like a rock hit the windshield. There is also a hollow sound that sounds like when you blow air over a bottle, when it is windy outside. The electric system seems to reset itself occasionally and the units for the temp will switch to Celsius intermittently.

Love the car, the handling, and ammenities.

The car is amazing in my view. There are some subtle tuning issues in dealing with the amazing power, but that is on the driver. Once you understand how to control the power, this car definitely is on par with my BMWs. Customer service is not quite on par with the other luxury car makers, so if there is one area Genesis needs to improve, that is the one.

Great EV, but could use a few improvements

This is a great car overall, but rear seat room and cargo space is small, even for a 'compact' SUV. It has 'understeer' which I don't like and did not really notice on my test drives, but after driving for a while you notice it. I drive sports cars too so maybe it's just me, but it's a safety issue as I feel it 'wanders' a bit; putting in sport mode to tighten the suspension does not really help. The dash controls are hard to get used to; they are very sensitive touch screen controls and hard to push them when you're driving down the road. The screen for all the controls could also use some improvements too, but I could go on all day about that. On a positive note, it's a rocket ship and overall is a fun ride.

Nice vehicle but some glitches with no fix yet

Overall I like the vehicle. There are some annoying things like the rain sensor isn’t very accurate. The keyless entry isn’t always functioning. The temperature keeps defaulting back to celcius.

The vehicle is fun to drive, comfortable with no motor noise.

I wanted a luxury vehicle and decided to try the electrified GV 70. It has been a new experience. Electric vehicles drive differently in many ways. Your acceleration is exceptional, and there are no motor sounds. The inside is comfortable, and there are a multitude of different electrical devices. For me, it took some time to get used to all the different electric devices. In a nutshell, it takes time to get used to an electrified vehicle, but I have enjoyed the experience.

2024 GV70 Electrified Review

It would be wonderful if the U.S. models could include the same features as the Korean versions. For example, the Korean, European, and Canadian versions are equipped with a digital rearview mirror and camcorder recording capabilities, whereas the U.S. version lacks these features. Although Hyundai offers a digital rearview mirror on their lower-cost models, the GV70 does not have this upgrade. Other vehicles in the GV70's segment do include this feature.
