Happy so far!

We have enjoyed driving our electrified GV 70. It is a smooth and peppy ride - great for short road trips around the area. The range is mid for an electric car, but the driving experience makes up for it.

GV70EV-JR

This car is a dream to drive. It is top shelf when it comes to build quality, performance, handling, comfort, safety, and styling. There are a few things that I dislike about it, which will likely prevent me from buying another one. I am not a fan of computer screens popping out of dashboards. I prefer analog and tactile controls and a screen as small as possible. The car’s range on a full charge, given ideal weather and road conditions, is barely tolerable. This car came with the standard audio system, which is so bad it's embarrassing. I had a Dodge Caravan from the mid-90s that had a better radio. So, the radio stays off. Lastly, the gear control looks nice but tends to slip through one's fingers. Making a quick switch from reverse to drive doesn't always come off as intended, requiring me to look at the shifter to see what gear I'm in, instead of the road.

Great Ride!

Far exceeded my expectations regarding comfort and ride. My only issue is that the built in navigation is horrible both in utility and visuals. Need to use Apple Car Play all the time.

Great driver experience

Love how it drives, acceleration is smooth as it can be. Interior is best in class and outshines all competitors in my opinion. I think the dealership experience can be improved, concierge is a good concept but it takes months to plan ahead to actually use it. Battery life isn't the greatest and battery conditioning doesn't always work. Vehicle it self is great just the infrastructure around it can't really keep up. If you have a charger at home this would be an excellent choice.

This is a great car to drive

Lots of bells and whistles. Very functional and convenient. Love the electronics, leather, and massage function. Great interconnection with my iPhone and it works better than my older 2021 GV80. The only drawback is the range. This works great when driving locally, but driving too far may result in my having to charge away from home.

High quality attractive interior & exterior. Powerful performance.

The visual impact of this design both inside and out is very appealing. The smooth ride, quiet powerful acceleration is addictive. Loved my prior Tesla model Y, but the ride was always too firm and even harsh on some roads. This is such a dramatic step up in ride quality and the luxury design and materials of the interior are refreshing. Fit and finish are also a higher level. The range is modest, but suits my needs as a retired guy. Love not buying gas or getting oil changes. Charging in my warm garage is super convenient and costs about 65% less than gasoline. Despite 800 lbs heavier than my Tesla, the acceleration is actually faster. Having the "boost" feature at no extra cost is also a fun feature. The longer warranty is of course a winner too. Will definitely consider buying another Genesis EV in future.

A few annoyances that wear on you

Seat comfort and driving experience/performance is very good. Annoyances are have to cycle back through the multimedia screens EVERY time the car is turned on/off just to get back to my last used screen (which for me is almost always satellite radio). Put your liability screen up, let me say “ok” and take me back to where I was. Even my Hondas do that. Annoying airflow at your feet that there seems to be no way to stop. I often dress warm in winter and try to just use my seat warmer to preserve battery. This cold airflow pretty much forces me to use the heat. Very limited cubby storage. Naturally more range would be great

Super nice vehicle - Range not good

The interior and exterior aesthetics are outstanding. Beautiful design, rich leather on the interior and exterior has a lot of people turning their heads. Vehicle has plenty of smooth power and handling and ride are quite smooth. However, two downsides. First, the user interface is clunky and hard to use. Compared to my 2020 RAM F150, I would give the Genesis user interface a 2 compared to a 5 for the RAM pickup. The second drawback is the range. Following manufacturers recommendation, we always charge to 80%. After 2 years and 15k miles, we generally get 190 miles after charging to 80%

Drives great, range is far lower than advertised.

Genesis GVe has poor range. Following Genesis's recommendation as to how low a charge remains before recharging the car and how full a charge it should receive, the actual limited range is cut in half. The Genesis GVe drives great but forget anything longer than near town trips.

Luxury In Reach

This is my second Genesis (went from a G80 sport to a Model 3) and we've really loved it. Needed a car with the same 'footprint' as a Model 3 to fit in a small garage spot and was lucky that we could upgrade back to a more luxurious ride, with a similar ev drivetrain. The GV70 is not without little things I'd like to change, but they're minor enough to not be worth mentioning.

Beautiful Car, Short Battery Life

Overall, the car is pretty good but the miles per full charge aren’t enough to make this vehicle practical for my life. Would like to see some of the bugs worked out and a few more features.

Like it so much we bought a companion G80 EV

Traded a Volvo XC90 T8 Recharge for the GV70. The Volvo was an unreliable, ill handling beast, with a really nice interior. So far, the Genesis has exceeded expectations. It gives up nothing to the Volvo on interior quality, while also being faster and better handling. Reliability is good so far. Really no complaints other than the front passenger seat should have the same massaging and ergonomic adjustability as the driver. We shopped vehicles for several months and were disappointed to find that nearly all manufacturers remove amenities from “smaller” SUVs. There are only two of us needing regular transport, so don’t want three rows and a behemoth size vehicle. We DO want really nice heated, cooled, massaging seats, impressive vehicle performance and dynamics, as well as all other available options. Small SUVs from Mercedes, BMW, Volvo, Cadillac, Audi, Lexus were all inferior to their larger offerings. That basically leaves Genesis GV70 EV and Porsche Mayan EV that “get it”. The Porsche is really nice, but let down by an instrument cluster binnacle that gets blocked by the steering wheel, so as to obstruct things like vehicle speed. (How do manufactures not see these obvious oversights?) As such, we ended up with the GV70. No regrets. It feels like they really sweated the details. We would purchase again and highly recommend.
