Thought it would be different

The drivers seat is terrible. The front plastic piece snapped off twice. Slack in the chair mechs that cause the seat to move when accelerating or braking. The trans shifts rough. Thought the v6 would have more juice but not bad. Windows rattle due to plastic clips in the door instead of metal. Other than that it’s a decent vehicle. I like my 2 Nissans better

I love this vehicle so much that I’ve encouraged others to purchase it for its reliability, very few maintenance issues, smooth ride, and it’s one of Acura’s luxury models. Plus, my mother-in-law loves it…lol.

Purchase of two-year old 2018 Acura RDX

I bought this RDX at Naples Acura. I wanted a relatively low mileage RDX and one which had the V6 engine. This 2018 has top of the line equipment. It is a great vehicle to drive and it has had no need for repairs during the five years I have been driving it. This is the 4th Acura (one new) in our family, going back to 2005. All have provided reliable and lengthy stays in our garages.

Appropriate for us

We’ve had Acuras before and found they’re a good value for the money. The size—smaller crossover—-is appropriate for our needs. We like the fact that, with three in the back seat, the person in the middle isn’t chewing her knees. Moreover the rear seat is slightly taller than the front, for good visibility. This model has a 6-cylinder engine, which I like better than newer RDXs, which have turbo 4s.

My first SUV.

I bought the 2018 RDX used in 2023. Decent little car overall, I was able to get the light (grey) interior, comfortable, nice handling, good V-6 power, but trans has occasional hiccups. My only complaint.

Newly acquired 2018 RDX

Overall, not bad, but it has a few quirks. Transmission is jerky shifting between 35 and 40 MPH. Ticks loudly in cold weather. Very different feel from my full sized Buick sedan, and my first foreign built car. Will take time to get used to.

I love my RDX. It has served me well. I’ve had no problems ever. I would like to traid it for a new current year but the 2023 has push buttons to switch gears and I don’t think I would like that. Otherwise my 2018 RDX has been a pleasure to own.

The best SUV on the market

I have been driving SUV’s for 20 years. I have owned a Honda Pilot, Mercury Marina, Infiniti QX60 & the Acura RDX is the best SUV I’ve ever owned! It also has 4 cylinders to drive around town and switched to 6 cylinders for high speed performance on highway driving.

This SUV is absolutely fabulous! It’s interior is first class with all the upgrades you would ever need. The RDX is roomy and yet can carry any load you pack in. The best quality about this Acura it has the turbo boost to get you onto any high quickly, safely, and with the zest to need to go from 0 to 60 in 30 seconds! The exterior is really sexy, has a really sharp look to it! This SUV will not disappoint you! I highly recommend you make this YOUR NEXT SUV!!!
