Appointments don’t matter
I needed a routine oil change. I’ve been to this location for my oil change for as long as I’ve had my car (a little over 2 years). No problems before. They’ve always been super quick (45mins to an hour). I made an appointment for 10:45 on a Saturday morning. I showed up with a room full of people waiting. I had an appointment so i didn’t think it would be long. I asked the man up front how long it would be. He told me I had “this many” (as he’s pointing at the many keys in front of him). I had an appointment…I should take priority over the walk in appointments. It has now been almost 3 hours and I am still waiting.

No accountability
Took my 2012 sonata in to get wiring harness replaced which they did. Andrea was very helpful and kept me up to date and washed my car. Dealership performed complementary multipoint inspection on car pointed out things to be aware of(brakes tires). Everything else was marked as good fluid levels and operation. I got 1.5 miles down the road and over heated. Called dealership back immediately (at closing time 4:15) and calmly told them what happened. Andrea passed me to the manager that was there on Saturday afternoon and explained what happened. He refused to be accountable and left me on the side of the road. Clearly someone had drained the coolant from the car by mistake and never refilled it. When he again refused to help me in any way saying there is no way I could prove the other shop didn’t do something to the car when I had Stivers car inspection in my hand saying that the coolant level was full. I simply hung up on him.
This manager has since responded to my negative review of how he handled the situation stating lies that were not the case or what happened and that I was very rude.
The service team (Andrea and the tech who rewired the wiring harness) did a great job and I thank them. The manager that took my phone call seemed to have no interest in helping me because it was inconvenient and had no problem dismissing me when the fix was very easy. I towed my car home and put coolant in it and it’s good as new. So learning point from all this is don’t pick your car up at the end of the day and know that everything out that managers mouth is a load of bull. He has no interest in you except to take your money.

Stivers service department continues to provide the lowest standard for customer service satisfaction. Being told no to a warranty claim is one thing but the condescending attitude is unforgivable. As for the 10 year 100k mileage warranty: only the dealer determines what is covered and when. Forget about trying to talk the Hyundai corp about anything:
My wife took her 2021 Hyundai Tuscan Unlimited with 22k miles in because we discovered the weld had broken on the exhaust. They said someone had cut the pipe trying to steal the catalytic converter. See the photos for yourself. The pipe was not cut- it broke. Just another example of why not to trust dealer service at all. Always watch the repair when possible. FYI. I ended up welding the pipe to match all other welds along the exhaust pipe. It was too easy.
