I brought my vehicle to this shop with two concerns: I neede an alignment, and wanted to pass smog (specifically wanting a check for exhaust leaks). While doing an assessment they wanted to put in a new transmission pan gasket. After about a week and about 1500$ they let me know that my vehicle was ready.
As I pulled out of the lot down the street that they parked my truck at, it sputtered, puttered, and had a lout whine in reverse. at my first stop it pulled hard to the side while braking. When I got home I found that my exhaust downpipe was missing 2/3 nuts. I put new ones on, went to get it smogged, and it failed.
I brought my truck back after replacing some essential emmissions sensors to make sure it would pass smog, and to fix the things that were wrong after my previous visit.
They spent another week and another 700$ doing random unnecessary tests. They also reasessed my alignment and made my steering wheel crooked in the opposite direction from the previous alignment (still very off), redid my transmission (which they charged me for and still whines in reverse), and the engine still runs rougher than it ever did before taking it to them.
When I got home to assess what was wrong with my truck I had my horn button fall off into my lap, I noticed that my distributor cap was hanging on by a thread, coolant had sprayed across my engine bay, and various other items in my engine bay were damaged.
I spoke to the shop, and they blamed me for broken things that I know were not broken befofe I took my truck in. I called them, and after a conversation with 'Bob' they refused to talk to me further, and told me to contact the Bureau of Automotive Repair.
Real good con game they run. I'm out over 2 grand and my truck is much worse than its first visit here.
Do yourself a favor and go somewhere where they have skill, integrity, and reasonable rates.

Waste of time, money, and they may not fix your vehicle
This shop is absolutely terrible. I brought my truck in to have an alignment and have it checked over before I took it to get smogged. While it was there they noticed that my transmission pan gasket had a crack, so I had them replace that and the filter and fluids.
When I picked up my truck it ran terribly, swerved when I braked, and whined when I put it in reverse. I found 2 bolts missing on my exhaust downtube that caused a loud exhaust as well. Because I had them check it out, I then got it smogged. It failed the smog test.
I brought it back to them to address the alignment and transmission issues that it had not had before. They did nothing to the alignment but straighten out the steering wheel (gratis), and they did something with the transmission (and charged me again for it).
I had replaced some emmissions equipment after my failed smog, and asked that they check to see if it would pass smog now. They then worked on it for a week before getting the emmissions checked. It passed. I asked what they did to make it pass. They did nothing but monitor engine temps. So that wasted a week of my time, and 700$ for them to run a bunch of unnecessary tests.
Long story short, they play a good con game and are a good waste of your money and time. If you want an alignment, take it to wheelworks where it is 150$, not 450$, and they do it right. For everything else, take it to a shop that is honest and does good work that they can stand behind and that you won't have to revisit to get charged to fix the things that weren't wrong before you brought it there.
Robert (bobby) Turner has been my mechanic since BTN was in business, he is a great mechanic and I have great respect for him as well as the people at Silicon Valley
I have brought my car to the mechanics at Silicon Valley Performance for a couple of years now. They are all very professional and very fair in the pricing. They provide great service and are always very informative. I have been pleased with the workmanship they have given and would recommend their expertise.
Town and Country Van engine died and they went above and beyond my expectation with getting a replacement engine and checking the rest of the van to make sure it was safe for my family to drive.
I appreciate the communication with the crew doing the actual work rather than with the dealers. Always able to fit me into their schedule and get timely service.
I have been taking my car to Bob at BTN for some time now. When I called and he told me BTN was no longer in existence I asked him where he was. Lucky for me he moved to an auto shop right next door to BTN. I was delighted I didn't have to shop for a new mechanic!
I am very pleased with the service provided by these guys. I brought my truck in for maintenance and repairs as a referral from one of my customers. They are knowledgeable and very friendly. They did a thorough inspection and provided a quick estimate. I proceeded to have the work done and turned out happy with the results. I would highly recommend Silicon Valley Performance.
