Horrible experience
I went to Ken Ganley Hyundai in Parma to purchase a car that I had been researching. My salesman, Jared was a nice guy. He pulled the car up for the test drive and it was absolutely filthy. Inside and out. It also had around 3000 more miles on it then advertised. It turns out that one of the managers had been driving it for a couple months. Not a huge deal. Just a bad look for the manager and dealership. As the sale progressed, I spoke with Chris, the used car manager, who was very nice at the time, so I could point out some scratches and chips. Chris volunteered to have their paint guy come in and put multiple layers of paint and buff it down. He specifically said the don't use one of those paint pens from an auto parts store. He also said they would do a complete detail on the inside, which included shampooing the carpets. The shampoo was never done. I was okay with that. They vacuumed it out really good and cleaned the food stains and other dirt on the trim. He even offered to give it an oil change since it was driven so many miles since the car was put up for sale in August. I put a down payment down and came back the next day. I wasn't happy with how the paint job came out but still went through with the sale. I expressed my disappointment with the finance person and he called in the general sales manager. He apologized and said to bring it back six days later to fix it. When I brought it in, my salesman was going to get me a loner car. As he walked out, Chris, the used car manager, followed him out and spoke with him. Chris came back and talked to me. He was saying a touch up is a touch up. He did admit that he said that he told me the paint guys put many layers of paint so it is higher than the original paint. Then they buff it down. It is completely obvious that that was not done. He said yes it was, he watched them do it. I disagreed. He said he didn't like being called a liar. I eventually lost my cool and said he is a liar. He proceeded to tell me to get the f--k off his lot. I got in my car and sat for a minute while he went back inside. Still upset, I decided to talk to the general sales manager about how I was spoken too. Chris, the used car manager outright denied telling me to get the f--k out of there. I may be many things but I am not a liar. Why would I? I wasn't trying to get any money back. They were already paid in full. Just wanted what I was offered. I would have been fine with just a touch up pen job. He offered to do it the way he said they do it. He did offer to re-do it but why would I do that if they already did it that way, according to him. I love the car but I am extremely dissatisfied on how I was treated. I feel bad for losing my cool. I am willing to admit that was wrong of me. Chris outright denied telling me to get the f--k out of there in front of the general sales manager. He could have been a man and admitted it and apologize for losing his cool. That would have prevented this review. The general sales manager didn't say a word. What an experience, to say the least.
